and we should live like kings and queens. we should treat ourselves like royalty but address all things with chivalry and justice. we should strive to be honorable and noble. we should not fear ambition but face our fears with boldness and determination. all of our actions should be unwavering. and when unsure we should seek and take the counsel of the wise.

perhaps this is one of the best things we can do for ourselves, any of us. in our own way.

But all I was was a teenage girl with every insecurity in the world.

I gave myself my own wing and my side had barbed wire to keep my sister out and we had a dungeon and when my parents wouldn’t let me do something I would send them there and eat Kraft Dinner because I knew how to make it and it was fucking delish.

  18. i like castles a lot, they remind me of princesses and i wish i was one. the only thing is there is no such thing as “prince charming” who will randomly come into your life. its pretty much pointless to even think it could happen. but theres always that part of you who wishes one day, that prince charming will beat the odds and come around. life sucks that way, you get your hopes up for absolutely nothing in the end.

If I could pull out of the sandbox of my heart a curled white seashell to be our castle, I would. But seashells are for snails, and nothing had lived in that seashell for a long time.
