  5. the lights are on in the ceiling;, sometimes I try to turn them off, other times I unscrew them. Something reminds me of a vaccuum tube and those old computers. Other things that exist in a bulb are what fills up space when I write things that I don’t know anything about. So really, all I am trying to do is to get to the end and have something to show. bulbs create flowers and bushes, and plants. beautiful things that we can put in vases, and such.

  30. Geez, it was just that easy, like a light bulb that went off in my head. Relax, don’t try to run her life, just let her be. Maybe this is the best thing she has ever done or it will be her biggest mistake. But it is her life and let her live it any way that she wants. That in it’s self is the best, most loving gesture you can give your little girl who is going to have her little girl. Pure love.

  33. bulbous nose of the drinker … a badge of cowardice, or a sign of great stress. It’s easy to judge a man by his actions, but without the knowledge of his past, that judgment is mere speculation and uninformed opinion. But that’s a fine line, isn’t it? Since we all have a story and we all share the same basic experiences (in short: we are all born, we all suffer, and we all die) then what excuse does anyone have for any behaviour at all? “Nature vs. Nurture” is the classic “either/or” proposition, one being fatalistic and one arguing choice in this life … but perhaps we are a combination of both. Perhaps we are a product of our environment and also the result of our predisposition. Maybe that bulbous nose didn’t need to be so bulbous; one could have a life more-or-less free from the tyranny of addiction. Or maybe that nose could have been more bulbous and the owner of said nose could be living in the back alleys of Skid Row. How can one know for sure?
