is the escape, or desire to
    we know we’re shackled
we know this whole world is an ice float
and we’re Al Gore’s polar bears

  3. I once had a nice bracelet that i gave as a gift to my little niece. She always thought it was beautiful with its gold links and its big diamond in the center, so i didn’t mind when she asked for it at her fifteenth birthday. The first day she wore it, a horrible rash filled her hand and it became icky and itchy. The diamond suddenly had turned black -same size but different color-.We took the bracelet to a jeweler and he said it was part of a lost treasure found years ago in the south pacific ocean. It belonged to a pirate and it was said that the whole treasure was damned and that only few pieces have been recovered since, all causing disasters to the owners. Finally we took a cruise to the pacific ocean and threw the bracelet into the water. The whole sea was filled with death fishes…

  5. The bracelet hangs gently off her wrist, glistening in the afternoon sun. I have never seen her wear it before. It magnifies her beauty and brings out her gracefulness. Lindsay is the girl who has been appearing in my dreams the past few nights.

  6. The bracelet was her grandmother’s. She hadn’t seen it for years, but found it at the bottom of the dusty old jewlery box. LIfting it out of the box it glittered in the light; diamonds and sapphires, glinting. She could almost see her grandmother again. With a sad kind of smile she clamped it around her wrist, letting it twinkle.

  12. As a man, I have never seen the point of wearing a bracelet. Obviously, the serve no other purpose than asthetic appeal, other than that they are the most pointless and ridiculous articles of jewelry, if they can even be considered such. In short, I don’t like bracelets.

  13. Bracelet is a feminine word, a piece of jewelry worn by few men. And, yet, when seen on a man brings noble and sparked attention. Bracelet…it makes me think of shackles.

  20. bracelets are cool, they are worn by plenty of people who have money to buy them and crazy fools who wear way to much jewlerry. people sell bracelts in ibiza, or pretend to to cover up the fact that they are selling narcotics on the beach. i once had a silver bracelet bought for me by an ex and i kept it after we split up just because it was really nice.

  21. One time i found a bracelet. It was made of gold and it sparkled like the stars on a clear night, only it had scuffs on it. That didn’t stop it from being beautiful though. I took it home and I polished it up the best I could. I put it in a box with a bow and I brought it over to the house of the girl that I love.

  24. This is the second time I got this word so i really don’t feel like writing about it again… I got it twice in a row too, what the hell. Honestly, mix it up a little, the chances of this occurring should be minimal staff of oneword.com. So anyway I should be sleeping right now but instead I’m up talking to people and eating thin mint girl scout cookies. Delicious. Oh also fruit punch is good. Also I hate can openers.

  25. i wear this bracelet everyday. it reminds me of you and everything we will never do together, or ever talk about. it makes me remeber that you are always here, and i get so many compliments on it. it is a constant reminder that you loved me, and that even though you’re no here anymore, you still do.

  28. I don’t have any bracelets that I wear all the time. My friend Rachel has a bracelet that is a bunch of tiles that have Mary I think on them. Her friend Eli gave them to her, and that’s whys he wears them so much. I think that’s not okay, because she had a crush on him but he’s really mean to her and that happens to me all the time. He’ll string her along and she’ll think it’ll be great this time, but it won’t.

  29. The best things about friends are the friendship bracelets. You can make them of string, beads, trinkets… anything! As long as you and your best friend know the meaning behind them! My best friend and I love our bracelets, with funny inside jokes on every Strand.

  30. She wrapped her fingers around her wrist, remembering the weight of the bracelet that used to sit there. She’d lost it, and hated herself for that. It was nothing special – one of those Livestrong ripoffs – but she couldn’t help but feel that in losing that circle of green plastic, she’d lost her only remaining, physical reminder of the girl whose death had lead to the daily wearing of the thing.

  31. i actually just made a bracelet today.
its pretty for the most part, but i could have done so much better, but i used hemp, and the edges got frayed. So getting the beads on was RIDICULOUS. I couldn’t even use half of the beads i wanted because they were too small. So it’s no where near what i could have had it. But it’s nice, and looks like something i would wear.

  32. She stared down, the only left of him was a charm on a bracelet. He had given it to her before he left. Unfortunatly, he never returned. Before he left though, he told her that the charm held the key to his heart. Little did she know, it held the key to hers as well.

  33. I wear two bracelets everyday. I’ve worn them for almost a year. The boy I like wears a shoelace for a bracelet. So when we hold hands, I like to look at our bracelets. Yeah, I’m a geek like that. But it’s super cute.

  34. I haven’t seen mine in over four years. It was red, and made of what we called a ‘p-chord’ although i’m sure other refer to it as ‘lanyard’ and others still something else. Our bond may have broken some time before it ever fell off, but i didn’t realize i’d forgotten until now.

  36. A ring of charms, a charming ring, a decoration of your slender wrist. Do you remember the day you got it? That beautiful summer day in Venice, when the shells and the sand and the foam decorated the beach, and all in the world was right. Such beautiful memories, so fleeting, so ephemeral. I wish I’d never woken up.

  38. My mom gave me a really shiny bracelet. I still wear it. People like it. I really like it. It’s the only piece of jewelry I wear besides my necklace. Those are the only two. But yeah. I don’t like thick bracelets and this one isn’t thick. I like thin, silver ones. (Not gold.) This has been a fun experience by the way.

  39. Ok this is really weird. Bracelet.. I once had a pink thing similar to one of those livestrong bracelets that I wore for a while simply because my sister gave it to me until it broke.. which made me sad because I was going to give it to my then-girlfriend… Who is now pretty much insane.. But I still miss her =[.

  40. i like to wear bracelets. as you can see, i have 5 on my wrists currently. at times i have been known to accumulate close to 10 bracelets total on my wrists. if i didn’t wear bracelets, my wrists would feel naked, thus an uncomfortable sensation i can easily alleviate by wearing bracelets.
