    The little green stem takes a deep breath, then pushes its apex tentacle against the solid ceiling, punching itself against the earthen roof, like a miner digging up.

    3 hours later, there’s barely a dint.

    ‘No luck with this way, I’m afraid comrades,’ the little stem says, ‘ if we’re ever going to see sunlight, we’re going to have to blast ourselves out of here. Who’s got the dynamite?’

  9. Everyone is trying to get get fit in order to look good in a bathing suit or have a sexy pose in a picture.. I’m not. I am trying to live life healthfully, eat smart, and exercise so I can watch my kids grow up. Ever since I changed my mindset, I’ve been having a blast.

An’ if you stared long enough, they looked like elvis or jesus depending on the time of year.

  28. i had a blast when everything was happy. when i see a sun sometimes i wonder if it will blast. it will blast into the sky and soon, the sky will be filled with bits and pieces of sun. But will that destroy the earth? I think it would be beautiful. . Why do beautiful things destroy?

  31. You never know until you try it, you might have a blast. It might seem like something you’re not really into at first, but when you get over the awkwardness and just let yourself go, you’ll discover it could be just what you’ve needed and have never let yourself have due to the stigma of how it’s perceived.

  32. Most kids have a ‘blast’ over summer break. I just have a “good time.” I wonder if that actually means that I enjoy my break less than them, or if I just do less spectacular things. You can enjoy non-spectacular things just as much as spectacular things. Or maybe I under-estimate things when I describe them to people.

  37. Higher and higher it climbed. The anticipation grew and grew. Any minute now. It seemed an endless climb. The steep incline just lending more strength to their anticipation. Finally they tipped over the edge. Screams echoed out as they flew with great speed. Winds rushing past their faces sending hair everywhere. Some screamed, others laughed as if in insanity had claimed their minds if only for this brief window. Unfortunately it had to end, the ride slowed to a gradual stop and the grining passengers disembarked some all too ready to wait again to feel the rush that can only come from a great roller coaster. Such a blast to ride.

  38. The last time a saw a rocket blast off was on television. They kick off with such force that you wonder how the hell the whole things works! The astronaughts, are probably having a blast of a time. This is the culmination of their career – the whole reason they got out of bed for the 15 or however long years before that. No pressure. Must be weird for those who never make it into space though. Do they retire happy do you think?

  40. The blast shook the building, and he pressed himself down on top of her, trying to shield her from the sudden rain of concrete dust and shrapnel. He felt something strike his cheek, draw blood, but over the sound of another explosion he couldn’t hear his own hiss of pain.
