“Baby, can you run back in and get me a hot pretzel?” Jenny begged and begged as Rob was pulling out of the mall parking lot.

“Yes love.” Rob hurriedly turned around. “Don’t wanna be late for the spelling bee.”

All of a sudden Jenny was in the back seat with us giving us kisses…french kisses. We were only fifteen.

“This can’t be in accordance with the accepted norm,” replied Dan with red lipstick all over his smile.

  26. On a red flower, the lonely bee sat pondering what his daily plans should be. He was considering visiting Viola, but she had mentioned that she may be out of town for a few days gathering supplies in Oldenscat, three miles away. Three miles wasn’t too long of a trip for a bee, but Oscar was lazy today, maybe he’ll just sit on this red flower and read his latest bestseller.

  35. I used to see them everywhere, picking through daisies and clover and other plants that I couldn’t name, their tiny feet brushing the fragments of pollen. Maybe it’s because I live in the city now, where flowers are sold by the bunch and honey is kept in sealed plastic jars, maybe it’s the global epidemic that I hear about in the news but they’re going, they’re leaving us and no one else seems to care.

If you go with the birds and the bees, oh, won’t you take me please (don’t leave me alone)

  36. i had a bee sting in the first grade. Oh my goodness it hurt so bad. I remember running to the school nurse in a complete panic because not only had I been bitten by a bee, it had gone up my shorts. Bee stings are scary. I have a friend who carries an EpiPen on their person because they are deathly allergic to bees. Glad i’m not in their shoes!!
