I dream out loud
I yell to myself when my head’s in the clouds
I knock myself down when I’m getting too proud
And when I realize that no one’s around
to see me grow and bustle and boom,
I lock myself in a solid state
stick my mind in a solid room
and don’t come out until dusk is done
and the sun is gone
and everyone has gone to bed.
Architecture is one of the most interesting things that you could possible study, whether you are going on a tour or just observing a nearby building. The different structures and designs of buildings show the history of the building that you are visiting, and allow you to better discover the character of the building itself.
The art of drawing buildings summed up in a word. Without architecture our world would be little more than mud huts strewn across a boring plain of existence.

Tall and overarching, sometimes breathtaking. Where math and art meet, with mind-blowing consequences. Still, the greatest buildings weren’t meant to be gawked at, they were meant to be used.
The first time I saw Claire was in the art and architecture building. She was beautiful. Her eyebrows thick, hair long. Beautiful. I was attracted to her, and the first time I kissed her mouth, I felt nothing. She was beautiful. I was attracted. But she wasn’t mine.
“Architecture?” She craned her head all the way back, tousled blonde curls flopping every which way to accommodate the new position. “I dunno, Brent…I don’t really, I mean, I don’t know what to make of it.”
“It’s a gargoyle.” Her boyfriend said, helpfully. “I mean, well, obviously, but-”
“That’s precisely my point.” She sighed. “It doesn’t fit in with the rest of it.”
“It?”
“This is all from the wrong century.” She gestured to the movie set. “I refuse to be a stuntwoman on a set that can’t even get the architecture of the time period accurate!”
i have a friend going to school to be an architect. she absolutely loves it. personally, i feel i would be overly bored by the subject. though i do appreciate differences in buildings, i do not think i would have the creativity, patience or skill to design my own buildings. i love science.
My dad was an architect. I used to pick up the blueprints to whatever new project he had and turn them into paper hats. I never tried to understand what the drawings were of, but somewhere between lines and spaces and cuts and curves, I found the peace and serenity hidden in the doorways and within halls and in the walls. It was home. Mine? No. Yours? Maybe
“Get your affairs in order”. How can someone say that so coldly? Is it even possible to not feel anything as you look in to the eyes of an innocent human and tell them to make sure they don’t have any regrets because the odds of it being all over in the morning are greater than the odds of them making it. How do you just tell someone that humanity is rotting away into a grotesque waste pile that’s only means of progression is to provide fertilizer for a new generation, a new world order who will have to live with the sulfur and toxins left behind constantly tearing at their lungs after every breathe? I still don’t know, but it seems I never will. I loved you dearly, but it seems this really is the end of my story. For me, there really is no hope left.
Architecture is what we have built with our hands and have devoted years into creating. but there is teh srchitecture of life and family which we keep crashing down like a bi plane with one propeller. what architecture have you crumbled today. what will you destroy tomorrow. And what will last for all of time. What is your foundation?
The architecture of the heart is a complex thing. Not only does it have room for everyone, it holds individuals forever, no matter how hard you try to forget.

This makes me think of a building. I dont really understand how to make a building but I have always wanted to create one and plan out the technicalities of it. For some reason a nice building to create has been a dream of mine however i am not artistically talented enough to build one.
The city and its old, time-worn buildings covered the sky. The sun reflecting off the dreary windows. The stone arches and stone walls were rare and antique.
When I saw the great buildings of that city, I knew I had to stay. I couldn’t possibly leave these skyscrapers behind, go back to the small town in which I had spent much of my adolescent life. I didn’t want to ever return. It was the buildings that kept me.
