When I was a young girl, I hated peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. I hated their gooey, thick texture and their boring two-note flavor. I had them far too many times, yet now, I don't mind them. I guess it takes about ten years to gain a better perspective of those things you used to hate.
necessity
There are few things in this world that we really need. Those things seem to take precedent above all else. Yet, we so often forget that many things we want aren't necessities, we put too much emphasis on what we should be rather than focusing on what we are. It's sad really...

The masonry was unrivaled by any who had seen it before. It was to be a statue to end all statues, not a single hairline fracture ran through the marble veins of the incredibly muscled figure. Yet, it was missing something, something that meant it was not remembered, but forever forgotten.

The beaty of the stonework stood out against the ruin. There was something everlasting that had been created when only few things remained. It was a marvel that it could sustain itself for so long, the lives and work that it must have taken forgotten.
