Duck under here,
the rains are coming hard
and water's filled the yard

night is coming fast
a cool chill and frost bitten blast

and shelter with me
where nothing will ever harm thee
a junkyard of treasures
a rusty old car, more thin air
than metal anymore,
was home to a family of small
yellow flowers
old engines and wheels
were covered in vines
nature took over
where technology had
failed
Angry, words shouted fast,
words shouted loud.
Scowls, brows furrowed,
lips grimaced.
Things said,
not meant.
But there are no
band-aids for
these wounds.
The lights lit the stage with a magical glow. Red, passionate and deep turned the figures into shadowy silhouettes as the band played a fast paced tango. Two lovers locked in the magic of theater, twirled about each other as one.
