  1. Tires. The round, black, circles that fuel our world. For what would we do without tires? Where would we be? No where, because they get us where we need to go.

  11. The tires screeched on the pavement, as they tried to avoid hitting the child in its path. The driver had been sending a text, too careless to watch the road, and nearly took a small child’s life.

you try to get me along this road

  18. He lost me. That low life took everything out of my car then ran like hell in the opposite direction. I saw a pile of tires. I pick out the smaller one, and lunged it at him. Though, as it wobbled lazily through the air, he managed to quickly climb over a tall chain-link fence and was gone forever…along with my winning lottery ticket!

  19. There was a gunshot and tires screeched across the pavement as the car soared around the corner and out of sight. He knelt there, holding the limp girl in his arms, wondering if his whole world had just been taken from him or not. But he knew one thing for sure. It burned within him and set his soul on fire. They would pay for this. He would NOT let them get away.

  20. the tires are rolling away from me
    these tires are my friends.
they roll and roll away until i cannot see them
    we’re all just tires.
    rolling away.

  23. driving…. driving….driving. Thump, wheeze. The car comes to a slow stop. You look around and find yourself in the middle of the desolate Arizona desert. “So,” you think “what do I do now?”

  24. Tires are very round and rubbery. They make me think of the word “tired” as in sleepiness, which is bad because I haven’t gotten very much sleep in the past week. Tires go round and round, kind of like hypnosis, so that also fits into the aspect of “tiredness,” although hypnosis can make person more things than just tired, like it can make you quack like duck.

  25. I tire of repeating myself. There is more to me than my actions. Or my words. I am here, not to bring back a lost love, but to destroy that which took him away from me. If I cannot have him, neither can this world remember him. There is too much here that reminds me of him and I wish it all to end. To end and never again begin.

  26. I smelled rubber burning as the tires skidded, my car spinning in a half circle. I slammed my head against the window and saw stars. “What the hell was that!” I screeched.

  27. I had to flip tires at summer heat two years ago, and you were there. I still can’t believe you’re gone, dead, and I never even got to tell you how much I looked up to you. It seems dramatic. I know. Hell. It feels like a movie to me, too. Because things like this do not happen in real life. In real life the amazing girl doesn’t just die one day from some unknown heart condition leaving behind a scared little mouse of a girl who never got to tell the tragically and oh so irreversibly dead girl how much she looked up to her.

  28. Tires spinning, slowly stopping. Not much life left, not much time.

  29. rolling, taking me from here to there, unless they are flat, then i’m pissed. rubber and black. without them my car will not go, with them i can go anywhere, four on my car, two on my bike, i guess three will never do me any good.
