  24. we do it alot. sometimes its even a neccesity. but so often it seems tragic. we sacrifice things that we love and that we do, we sacrifice aspects of our lives and parts of ourselves and its easy to become resentful and unforgiving. but the thing is, that if done at the right times for the right reasons we may find ourselves with a new-found sense of belonging and pride. sometimes we need a little sacrifice like we need to clean out the closet, though we too may feel ache over freeing ourselves from what we’ve kept in there.

Is is taking a risk or willingly giving something up? And what’s the end result? It begins with the motives, from there who knows where it will go. And dare we even talk about the ultimate sacrifice?

  33. It was all I could do to take care of myself. I realized I had to stop taking in all of these orphan animals. My friends at the SPCA called me selfish for it, but they didn’t realize how much I yearned for their company. It was only because my mother made me promise on her death bed that I would put my needs first, and because I couldn’t afford cat food for twenty cats and the rent on my apartment together…. Because of that, I knew I had to stop. No one realized how much I cried, having to be by myself every night. Everyone thought that my sacrificing days were over.
