what would i do, if there was nothing but glue
no colour in my life, nothing to make things bright
pastel brings colour to the darkness in my life
its the only thing that keeps me going when i’m
down and filled with fright
pastel represents my loved ones
pastel represents love that not many can exude
if we’d just take the chance to love with all our heart
pastel would be all we need, to break away from the dark.

It was Wednesday, Pastel day. The girls and I wore pastels everyWednesday because we could and because it was fun. We always looked cute and we always matched.

pastel is the color of easter and the color of spring. Pastel is lavender and baby blue and soft greens. Pastel is the pretty yellow on a 2 year old girl’s dress. Pastel is babies and children and grass and summer. Pastel is all things soft and all things joyful. Pastel is a shade of a color.

I’m drawing the curve of your lower back, I’m blending the pastels together, staining my finger tips. I’m recreating the shades of your skin, the colors of your curves.

Grey. Dark, lonely. It’s been a pastel life so far. What else can I say? I feel as If I have not lived my life to it’s fullest. It’s still only pastel. Let us make it only brighter. With crayons.

paste, in the sky and you see monsters in the way and then it trickles down the area of the purple amiss and you see how far it goes once it hits the monsters in the way and it goes and goes until it hits India and keeps on going for miles and ends up in another planet.

I have never liked anything pastel
It seems so weak to me
I have always had it in my heart to love the colors with depth
I feel about people the same way
Bypassing the weak and drawn to the ones with depth

Blood pastels are all you need.
I’m done with this life.
I’m tired of trying.
A pastel is all you need,
To paint me what paradise looks like.
Tell me where to go,
Tell me what to draw,
Because i’m hoping your doing the same.
Paint me a picture of paradise.

Easter eggs and spring time. I’m already in a better mood because of this glorious end to the dead season of winter. The pastels breath air into life. So beautiful.

I love colours, they can be bright, dull and make up the vast world around us. Everything we look at has colour. The trees, the soil the leaves the sky. All these colours of the earth resemble the different coloured pastels one can get at an art store.
By Melissa Kuiper on 03.16.2012
pastel colors are usually dull i think. they’re colors like pink and light blue and yellow – you know, easter colors. they’re used for spring sweaters and… well i guess that’s it. I suppose people paint with pastels sometimes, but i am really not an expert on the subject

The ink didn’t work. The crayons only crumbled. The markers felt wrong to the touch. Only once I lifted the pastels from their brightly colored box did I finally draw. Not art. No, that was easy. I drew the world. What I saw. Who I was. Who I am. Who the pastels made me.

colors that run through a meadow bright and green with purple andf blur all pastely and bright like easter but thats what they want you to think its like programmingh but it’s very different becasuet ehy have you brainwashed to think that pastels are all about easter so they can make you spend lots of money on crap that you don’t need

Easy on the eyes. Spring time and Easter. A baby’s room. Soft, light, and non-vibrant. Relaxing to the observer, blended work from the artist.

Pastel like the colors of your skirt. It reminds me of spring when it’s about to end. I Hope to travel my way around it soon as I did before. Maybe that way, some how i’ll taste spring’s nectar with true enthusiasm. Perhaps when I do i’ll keep finding my way back to you, as I usually do.

I could see your heart. It was everything you said it was. You truly did have a lot of love to give. It was me who couldn’t give you the love you deserved. However, even with that, there was no way I could stay. There were other reasons, that I never told you, why I couldn’t be with you. I regret not telling you the whole truth but I figured what I did tell you was enough. I think of you everyday and wonder what will happen if we were to ever see each other again. I miss you. So many things remind me of you. And now that spring is on it’s way, it will make it worse. The beautiful life that will bloom from the earth, blue skies, rainbows and the warm sun. This spring and summer will feel bland without you.

pastel its a beautiful word, without thinking too much about its meaning. It reminds me of french country sides. with clear blue skies and cows roaming in the pastures. It reminds me of soft rains, and being with people you love. It makes me smile when I think of these things. Strange how one word can evoke such emotions…

Tip Tap. Scritch Scratch. All across the paper, colors mixing and mingling. Dust flies through the air. You hold back a sneeze. A rainbow decorates your fingertips, finding its way in clouds to settle on your slacks. Your hair is a mix between red and green. A deep breath to clean away the dust, a careful brush to smooth out the edges. A slow, accomplished smile.

When I was younger, pastel things always seemed so pretty: bright, happy colors. But then they began to seem cookie-cutter. Like all the plastic flower and pony stickers. They didn’t capture the depth in the world. Sometimes, things are crimson, and sometimes they are pitch black.

I leaned against the window, with my fingers in my hair, watching the sunlight cast my silhouette along the floor. I stared, transfixed on her as she painted with pastels and strikingly bright colours. Her hands gliding with ease across the canvas, I could only stare as I watched a masterpiece unfold before my eyes. Her utter focus was mesmerizing, with her lips pursed, her eyes narrowed, her brow furrowed, and paint streaked through her hair she was even more beautiful than her art.

Colors that make us feel as if we can touch the sky and that it will give back to us a beautiful joy. Clear, soft, and free: these are the words that I use to describe this joy. Make believe in the idea of eternal happiness.

Pastel hues were painted across the walls of the decrepit house, colors peeling from the whitewashed, moldy walls. A bird perched on the windowsill, plaster chipping off. Grabbing a piece, it flew away to its nest on the roof, laden with treasures.

This word makes me think of art class. Pastel also makes me think of Meghan’s skirt for Wacky Tacky day that she said she was going to wear. I like Pastel colors usually. Um I think the cupckaes I made last night were pastel colored

Rubbed out fingers caress the canvas. A chill runs up my arm, and my brain reads it. Do I like this shiver? No, I don’t. The sun is setting, and the orange is gleaming through the windows. Yet another day of nothing. Dull.

i do not understand this word ..maybe it related to some color combination or maybe its a paste of some form watever it be it is nice word. it intruiges a feel of some form of sandwich substance

A pastel is a color. Like pink or like blue. When I think of pastel, I think of Easter because lots of Easter colors are pastel. Pastel colors are pretty. My favorite pastel color is probably light purple. It reminds me of the light purple dress Chloe has when she was little. Very pretty little dress!

a soft, gentle color that speaks volumes. Like that of a soft hue only seen in ever lengthening sunsets, it is beautiful. I fill myself with it and it fills itself with me. Why have i never seen this before. Felt it before. Understood it before this point.

Spring. That’s what I think. I see little girls in cute little dresses being waited on by little boys with handfuls of tulips. Pastels are just shy colors.
