I patted his back gently, whispering soothing words in his ear. He shuddered against my touch and kept his face buried in his hands. “It’s going to be alright,” I whispered. He nodded his head and looked at me, tears running down his cheeks. He raised a hand to my face and whispered, “I love you.”

Now that you’re far away, I don’t know what to do on a bad night. You used to hold me until the memories were blurs again. Now all I have is a jumper that smells vaguely of you, and as I lay here curled up around it, I wonder if the scent is dulling because of all the tears.

SoCo (Southern Comfort)
Comfort is what every living person needs in their life, no matter how much. Any comfort is what keeps our hopes up. It’s also where we can go back and abide in when we’re going through tough times.

Astor blinked through all attempts at comfort. None of their words reached him, none of their touches registered. Just a twinge, here and there. Just little reminders sprinkled everywhere that he was gone. That’s all that made it through to him in those first weeks.

He is crying. I know it. I felt the same pain, I cried the same tears. From the bottom of my heart. Where it’s so dark no one even knows it’s there. I want to comfort him, like he comforts me, but I don’t know how.

Comfort. Emotional comfort, physical comfort, spiritual comfort. I am seeking spiritual comfort. Comfort exists in my spirit, but not in my soul. To fill this void I will meditate daily to increase my inner peace and understanding of myself and those around with. With this spiritual comfort, I will become more whole.

My bed is my comfort. It’s my haven. My haven away from all that is wrong in the world. With me in my bed is my favorite book. This book keeps me sane, because it’s not just an ordinary book. No its my life story.

I reached my arm out, but she soon started to fade away. I can still hear her voice crying out to me, in a way that makes my own heart cry. She needed comfort; she needed me. But I feel like I was never enough.

Comfort is warmth. A soft hand, a gentle rain, the love of a friend. I have no comfort in my life but comfort is what makes life okay. My life is not okay. I have no comfort.

Comfort exists for the lonely and the broken. It soothes the deepest hurts and failures and makes life worth living. Where is my comfort?
I do not feel the same level of. Omfort that I felt two or three days ago. The hour is upon us. Come Monday, school will begin and all of the wonder and surprise of summer will be over. I am happy and sad at the same time. I hope the joy I found this summer lasts through the rest of the year! It is hard to keep those good vibrations going. Ahh. Summer.

Snuggles in bed. Tea. A book. My dog. Longing for it more than ever. The quietness that can only be found in nature. Love. Security. Everything I wish I had. Child’s laugh.

At last she found a sense of comfort. She looked up and felt the warmth of the sun on her face. Binyarra was place where she could idle away the days painting and reading, finally becoming the person she had always longed to be.

comfort is what we all want to feel. whether it be a comfy bed, a warm pair of arms or just security in our own home, comfort is one of the most coveted feelings in the world. It’s also a washing powder that smells pretty damn good :)

Laying on my bed with him next to me. Having his arm around me and laying on his chest feeling nothing but him, his skin, his scent. Knowing that I could stay in that moment forever and just being happy and comfortable.

Comfort is one of those things that seems elusive to me at times. It is a feeling that is hard to obtain because once you think you have it, usually it flees.

Comfort was all she needed. All she was asking for. Why was it so difficult to find? Didn’t she deserve it just as much as anyone else?
Apparently not. She resigned herself to another day with the blackness.

A toasty towel just out of the drier on a chilly morning. A cup of tea and a good novel on a stormy afternoon. Meatloaf and mashed potatoes with a side of fresh corn. The one you love holding your hand when you are scared in a storm ….. comfort.

My gaze slipped from the man before me, he no longer bore any comfort. A cold breeze swept through my body. I winced and held my arms together, my teeth began to chatter as I spoke, “Go! I don’t need you anymore!”
By Aisha on 08.20.2012
I think comfort is in the little things. In being with people you like, doing things you like. It’s about feeling the right things when you do something. When something is completely right to you, like it’s your twin or sister. Like it’s family, something higher.

There was snow on the ground. A warm mug of chocolate held in her hands, lightly, loosely, not forcefully or agitatedly or tensely. New flakes fell on an already white earth, the vast expanse of ground spread ahead of her, the clean glass almost like it wasn’t there. It was peaceful, this comfort of home.

When Comfort was sitting in his room, he was feeling peacefully with everything around him. It was like something higher for him. It could be love, a friendship, a book he always loved. There was no such a thing as explaining what he was feeling with all the things around him.
know that you will have something to fall back on and realize that it is not the end of the world even if the worst comes to pass.

a lot of people like to stay in their comfort zone and never leave. I don’t choose to live outside of comfort, but it humbles me so that I will appreciate the day when comfort comes.

How does one feel true comfort? Is it a warm blanket? or a happy moment? To me, comfort is much more than one situation.
Comfort is the lifeblood of the heart of home. It’s what we need the most, perhaps moreso than happiness… no, that isn’t true. You can live under a rock, but as long as you’re happy, what does comfort matter? Does happiness come from comfort?

In the strange comfort of the basement, she twiddled her thumbs and gazed up at the ceiling. It was strewn with chains and hooks on all of the outermost edges. She sighed deeply before beginning to ponder why she found comfort in this. A man’s scream echoed through the back of her mind before she focused back on her task at hand. Taking a deep breath, she put her protective mask back on.

I hated comfort. For years I had watched friends of mine be pampered by parents and family. It had made them weak. When the invasion finally came, they would stand no chance in the brutal horror of war. I, on the other hand, had been raised by wolves and couldn’t have developed into a stronger person.

A lot of things come to my mind. nothing is as good as being comfortable in your house. Rain, movies, food, maybe a boyfriend. That’s really cool. Just being comfortable.
but its not just that, being comfortable with yourself is really important. If you are comfortable with yourself, everyone will be comfortable around you
