  38. a window
    makes a break through
    a cow is
    cooking steak stew
    a dentist
    eating Take Two
    CNN
    with that fake news

  39. Polished wall, marble stone-
    Faced guard strength
    in his stance,
    shiny sharped lance
    though the climbers
    the diggers
    the ‘more than this’
    believers
    tic-tic-boom
    explosive days
    in wanders one
    disoriented stray
    but his eyes are blinded
    his ears fallen deaf
    he cant see
    any precious wall left
    frightened, enlightened!
    Wiping blood from his cheeks
    Broken lance, brand new stance
    Unmoving for weeks
    An impasse, a hole,
    Damage taking toll;

    Relinquished, dismissed,
One job and one job only
    Watch the barrier, no outsiders,
Don’t move and don’t be lonely
    Crumbled wall, dead stray
    Misled and wary
    Broken promises, rewritten goals
Not made to last or carry
    Through the next day,
    Or one after,
Each falling stone is one of laughter
    And in the end
    Nothing to defend
Not a single thing left that matters
