“Commemorating the thirtieth centurion of the approval of the Casadavit’s Bill of Thievery, we present to you: The next PRINCE OF THIEVES.” It was me, me, the prince of thieves. Ridiculous that a gang of thieves would be holding a ceremony. Ridiculous that the very microphone Razel was orating into was stolen from Gilligan’s City. But even more ridiculous that I, the new Prince of Thieves, was actually of royal blood. And, to be more specific, a princESS.

You see them standing there, waiting for you to move and speak and breathe, all because they believe their opinion matters to you. They think that if they are professional and higher status, that you care what they have to say and what they plan to do.

I dont have my parents approval to date yet, not until Im 18. she did not need his approval for this. He gave her the ultimatum and she called his bluff. He didn’t want to leave and she didn’t want to stay. Their paths were never going to cross again. But she could handle that. Right?

I’ve always sought the approval of others until I met her. With her it was instant, always present. But the thing about approval is that over time, no matter the person, they’re willing to lose it. Not because of you, not because of something you did. Because they’ve changed. Not you, you’ve not changed, but you can’t convince someone else that they have.

I dont need it, But I want it. No one does much without thinking about obtaining it, and nothing would get done in this world without it.

I wanted approval from my father and felt I never got it. He was not demonstrative in affection and never complimented or affirmed me in what I did. Bad scene.
By TERRY on 08.11.2012
Approval. I think of it as a sign of weakness. Dont wait for others to approve you. Go for you. Be you. Dont let the weakness stand in your way! Fuck society! Just get up, be creative, and go!! Now. GO. PLease? BE YOU!

I didn’t need his approval. He would only say no anyway and there it was, his baby. I laid an appreciative hand on the bright, red convertible and quickly hopped in. The key in the ignition and before I could change my mind due to even the slightest regret, I was snaking down the mountain trail towards the lights of the city.

We all want approval..sometimes NEED approval. Wether it’s and approval from a member of the family, a friend or even someone random on the streets. The things we wear, say and do all show our need for approval.

“I don’t need anyone’s approval,” she typed as her status update into the rectangular box that was all too familiar. Then she waited…(while checking her pink hair in the mirror and painting her nails that colour that her parents didn’t like)….to see how many people would “like” it.

I don not need your approval. I am a grown woman. I can and will do what I damn well please. So, get out of my way. Get out of my face and we shall both be happier for it. Do we have an understanding?

To be approved is too be loved. Not loved like by a family but loved by society. To be approved by society, you need to be perfect. Look perfect, be perfect, but it just any kind of perfect, their idea of perfect. Also to be approved you need to be liked by everybody. And if they don’t like you they will shun you and pretend you don’t exist. That’s the only way society will approve you. But I don’t want to be approved, only to be accepted. Whole different story…

I always wanted approval from everyone. I thought the way to get it was to be perfect. Straight A’s, president of the debate team, starting several new clubs. I was in all honor classes. I was perfect. But it never got me approval. Not even from myself. So I just gave up. I gave up and I feel hard. And that is when I got approval. Not for me now, but for me then. I was never more beautiful than after I died.

i don’t need your approval
i don’t care what you think
i just want your attention
i want you to see me
and what i’m doing
and just see
you don’t need to approve or agree
but just notice
just notice me
react to me
you don’t have to approve

there are many things I approve of, like loving people and the arts and sciences, and reason and logic. I also disapprove of some things, namely of irrationality, poor arguments, and wet socks.

He had been hungering for his mother’s approval since he first suckled on her breast; the milk never tasted as sweet because of the absence of approval.

This is what you get when you do a job for and someone is satisfied. for example, your boss wants to figure out a way to stop water from getting on the floor from the water bubbler. YOu place a large tub under the water bubbler, which catches all the water spills and solves the problem of water getting on the floor.

approval is somthing everyone strives for from other people. What they don’t realize, is that it first has to come from themself. After that the thoughts of others will mean nothing.

We seek approval from everyone we meet. Sometimes it’s a boss, a teacher, a friend. Even someone ‘below’ us. Whether or not we get that approval can influence our mood or self-worth. I spent too much time looking for approval. I don’t do that anymore.
By Alexa on 08.11.2012
It’s not crazy to get approval for things you like, it’s a human nature thing, noting can be done to alter tis, so why even bother to thing negative, Approval is Avery easy word to say, it flits off the tongue nicey.

i didn’t need your seal of approval,
or your look of admiration.
i built myself up from the ground up,
without a glance, without acknowledgement.
he says i’m a silent achiever,
that i don’t say anything, that i don’t flaunt.
little does he know,
that was all i wanted from you.

This is all I dreamed of It’s all we all dream of, to belong to feel in place. For someone to say, you’re welcome here, for them to say, you’ve did your best. For them to believe in you. Approval. That one moment when they don’t remember the bad you’ve done, they cherish the good, they cherish you, for you, who you are and who you can become. no judgement, just an open honest slate. They approve of you. for you

I need it from everyone i know, mostly my mom who worries and coddles and would be heartbroken if i did something that she didn’t approve of that could get me hurt or in trouble and I also need it from all y friends who think I’m weird and then there’s the rest of society who i know is judging me but I want to not care but i do and i hate that but it’s true and i need approval from people and confirmation from everyone.

Make it all happen.
And I approve.

I’d like to get the approval of all those new kids on the block. They walk around in the corduroy jeans and their high-knee stockings, thinking they’re better than everyone else. Well I have news for them, they’re not. If anything they’re the pickled underside of Davy Jones’ chin.

So many people function for but one reason. Whether they convince themselves it is family, friends, or the greater good, at the epicenter of everything we convince ourselves, what we truly seek is, in the end- approval.

He is bad. He is well aware of this, yet he seeks the older man’s approval, the man who caused his life to be turned around, perfectly upside down and straight all at the same time. He set him on the right track, stole him away from those who tried so desperately to drag him into the mud. He believed in him, and all Neal ever wanted was to make Peter proud.
