  1. sThe Grapes of Wrath is a wonderful novel by John Steinbeck; the novel ends with a memorable scene of a woman whose child has just died, feeding a starving man with her breast milk. It is actually a pretty gross scene, but I guess it shows the degree to which people were suffering and also the degree to which they were selfless in their misery.

  9. Wrath didn’t particularly like her job. Sure, the benefits were great – immortality, free dental – but she just had to be so fucking angry all the time. It got exhausting, to be honest. Plus, she always felt kind of guilty about what she was doing to people. The others didn’t really have the same problem – hell, Lust felt he was doing the world a favor.

  24. A violent word that brings about a tired sigh. I don’t like the implications of this word. The red sky filled with flame and hate, where the only red light shines from a tower because the sun hasn’t been seen in years. The only other color is black, like the charred buildings and cars and people. All because one person was angry enough to take revenge on people he had never met.

  25. Wrath is one of the seven deadly sins. It causes neaighbor to turn against naighbor, man against man. It is the beginnings of wars and the end of them as well. it is an atrocious disease that infects us all at one point or another. Every human being suffers. But, we are in control of to what degree.

  32. Of gods. Or one god. Or women. Or one woman. There’s nothing scarier than the wrath of one woman. I mean, how can a man reply – there is no way. Living in a male world, men do not notice this, as fish do not notice water. Whereas mammals (women) notice the water very well.

  38. “It’s your choice.”
As the hooded figure strode away, the man stared down at what he’d just been given – a small, red button. The figure had explained that he now had the power to destroy, rebuild, obliterate, or repair entire lives, cities, or countries. Should he choose to, he could inflict extreme pain and rain his wrath down, or he could be kind, compassionate, and give happiness. Either way he went, his actions were not reversible. Whatever he did was permanent.
It was, seemingly, an obvious choice. But the thought of enacting revenge upon those who were spiteful towards him was an irresistible cognition.
