  2. it had been a long time coming, this fall, this historical autumn. they had been waiting for it, everyone knew it was coming. they could have done something about it, but here, in the beginning of the end, they knew and said out loud that they never wanted to stop it. something in their hearts told them, “the end is coming, and let it.” let it all collapse.

  3. So, society says something. A society of words and advices given. Not that they aren’t taken, but the advice they give is based on something outside of their own experience, right? It is founded in reality somewhere down the line, but not them now.

  11. The shadow of a police officer darkened his window. He stopped breathing, doing his best imitation of a marble statue. The officer’s eyes bore down on him like the oppressive government. They were all the same. When the shadow passed, he sighed in relief and glanced over his shoulder to check the bombs in the backseat.

  16. The force of it all was too much. She walked through the streets with her head down, positive that people were staring at her, even more positive that she was being crushed under the weight of it all. The masses of opinions and ideals and morals and all of those things coming from different directions… it was more than just the city itself or even the people inside it. An invisible force that bound them all was thing that was going to kill her eventually.

  17. The society of the moon and the stars…. they all live in outer space and some of the planets have moons and some of them don’t have moons. So now you know they all are different just like us. We are all different just like the moon and the stars.

  18. In society, you are what you think about. People walk around with bad thoughts of bad things and want good things to happen. It doesn’t work that way. You need good things going through your head to make good things happen.

  19. society is messed up, No one understands how to be kind of loving, to care about others. If more people were compassionate society would be better.

  20. Her society was failing, and as she aged she could see that her country was in great turmoil, as was the whole world. It was breaking her heart to know that her children and grandchildren would have to face the unknown. And all she could do was pray that a miracle would happen for all humanity, and hopefully soon before it was too late.

  21. My society is a group of people who know build web sites and code with programs.

  22. A child is born innocent and naive. Society is the one making a child/person cruel. Is it is very rare to find a indigo kid nowadays, as peer pressure, bad parenting and life dilemas make you a cruel animal in the society we live in. It is like you are panda with tons of layers of fur and no one can really look deep enough because your barrier is up. Your fur is your barrier, and underneath is a small tiny panda that believes in the good. That panda wants bamboos, only vegetarian tasty bamboos. :)

  25. Society crumbled away not much longer after that, infrastructure and culture and morals fragmenting and scattering like pieces of a bullet-peppered plaster wall. The song of human progress no longer beat to the rhythm of of our hearts but the unified marching steps of thousands of hobnailed boots. If you ask anyone now, they’d tell you that our decline was a gradual thing—a slow descent into chaos through fear, poor policy and famine. But I was there, and I assure you: as true and undeniable as the sun in the sky, everything went to hell at once.

  26. when you ay that word it sounds so harsh, so full of projections against humanity, against every single one of us. as if we were created to be cruel, to destroy, to scorch, when really we are just children of evolution, toddlers stumbling along because our mother isn’t a k-strategist. she throws out whats there to see who will survive on their own, without a bedtime story

  27. Society is another name for the collective herd. It’s the standard in which all of us have to live our lives by. Society is the community of all those people who know what’s best for everyone. A Society is a group of likeminded people. They can be open or secret. But it’s mostly just a group of people.

  28. With their glass pipes full of tar and newspaper clippings. (Burn, presidents, civilians, neighbors. Burn.) With their leather boots and brand name sneakers and flip flops. With their TV remotes, plungers, and cell phone chargers. With their backacks and skateboards. With the ties and sunglasses.

  29. “Society is amazing sometimes!” She said this as she took another drag on her cigarette, leaning against the balcony railing overlooking downtown.

    by Doug on 09.07.2015
  30. society is stupid. it’s got so many rules you have to stick to. everyone judges you if you don’t conform to these “rules.” but the thing is, you don’t have to go by these such rules. make your own. you can be who you want to be and not care what society thinks. easy at that. it may be a little hard to do that, but after a while of just doing what you think is right or dressing or being a certain way, you get used to it and start to love it. once that happens, you can just give the world a giant middle finger if they say otherwise.

  31. The ruins of society lay in front of her. What used to be a palace of sensation and wonder now turned into a pile of ruins. And it was our fault. But it could be fixed. There is always a solution.

    by Sarah on 09.07.2015
  32. The society was in ruins. The world itself was crashing like the twin towers, burning and falling down until all that remained was a place of ruins where there used to be a palace. Things turned broken, and there was no going back.

    by Sarah on 09.07.2015
  33. Our society is rather broken nowadays.
Even though we think we’ve made huge strides in terms of eliminating discrimination and condescending attitudes, we haven’t really done much.
Society sets such rigid expectations for everyone that no one can meet them, and we all feel like failures. We can’t let it define us.

  38. It slowly crumbled, first to go was the infrastructure. Roads, bridges and the like. After that was the total decline of the financial institutions followed by the masses. Everythi g went to shit in the first 10 years. We never could have imagined that it wall crumble so quickly. No one ever imagined this was how it would end. Even now some don’t believe that was the true cause, but those of us who were there know. We always knew. We will always remember.

    by Arthur on 09.07.2015
  39. “This is the type of society we live in,” remarked Eli bitterly, the froth of his beer still crisp and lingering on his upper lip like some sort of ethereal, unwanted mustache. “You get f***ed by the system, and they blame you for not having lube. You work your a** off trying to make a good living, and the big guys look at your credentials and claim you missed the One Qualification. Both of those words are capitalized, mind you.”
