  8. I have started to burn incense in my bedroom when I do Yoga, so it’s funny that this is the word. I love the smell of them! However, it lingers. I burned incense two days ago and I could still smell it in that room this morning. It does set a nice atmosphere and feels ancient.

  15. These are usually used in places when you get massages or something. They are things that make rooms smell very good. They can come in different shapes and sizes and they usually look like a longer version of a candle stick.

  16. Incense. Is that the stuff they use at mass? I think it is. I sort of like the smell of incense. I am not a fan of the way that it makes smoke. The smoke always makes me want to sneeze. I do like it when the mass has incense though.

  17. IN my experience living in China, I have traveled to many different places throughout Asia. These places often have temples or other places of worship. They often burn incense. It is not that pleasant to smell.

  19. I am not really sure what incense means, but it reminds me about the five senses. I think it does because of the pronunciation of the word. It also reminds me of money because of a cent. I think it might mean something having to do with your conscious maybe.

  25. I’ve always thought that long gone are the days when incense is used as a form of aroma therapy. To be honest, I know of not one person that buys them for their home.

  26. At church during Christmas time and during advent people use incense. it is a nice smelling oil that people normally burn like a candle. It smells interesting and burns but not like a candle. Candles have wicks.

  29. I am thinking about essential oils. I typically have them going at night – lavender, lemon, and peppermint. It helps me sleep. It keeps me calm. I think they help with my allergies, but I don’t know because I’m not a doctor. I can’t be a doctor because I don’t like touching people.

  30. The smell of my childhood is wrapped up in a blend of running shoe rubber, snow shavings wiped off of skates, dirty playground sand and cloying, rotten-flower incense on Sunday afternoons. Any of those scents can take me back to a time of innocence and unquestioning belief in things bigger than myself.
