  2. It started in Kindergarten. I felt my heart leap with pride when my teacher told my parents that I was “gifted”, or intelligent beyond my years and generally exceptional. Since then I haven’t tried anything in which failure was even a remote possibility.

  3. She was extremely gifted as a child but she was also special in ways that she didn’t or wouldn’t understand. Her mother had said that she had talents. Talents beyond being sassy or smart. Talents beyond physical strength and beauty. Her mother implied that the talents she had were in some way unique.

  4. I used to be gifted. They threw me in a special room and said I.. Was a special girl. Do you know how easy it is to impress adults when you’re 7? High expectations from that point on. Do well or you’re a disappointment. Do yourselves a favor kids. If you value your mental health, don’t succeed in elementary.

  5. He couldn’t believe that it had been gifted to him. It was all he’d ever wanted for so long. Everything he’d worked towards. When he thought of all those hours working, and now it had been handed to him for nothing. All that work, all those hours, for nothing. He felt cheated.

  6. The power was gifted to her. Kory stared down at her hands. On sight, they appeared normal. Oh, yes, just on sight they seemed to be gentle, glowing, but she knew the truth behind them. She still recalled the day she reached down to touch the striped, stray kitten and how its soft, gentle purrs stopped as it fell stiffly to the ground. She had taken the kitten’s life simply by petting it.

  10. Everyone has a gift in life and it is up to us to find out what it is. Unfornutaley, I haven’t found my gift but with experiencing life, I hope to happen upon it one day.

  11. Jane alway knew she was gifted. The first time she experienced the excitment of having power other people don’t came when she was 4.

  13. Gifted could be like your blessed. Gifted also could also be an award.

  14. I think we all are gifted. Some have just a natural ability to do things that some just can’t do or simply as well. I think when you’re able to help people find what ever it is that they are gifted at, it really becomes something special. We all have a gift and are special in God’s eyes!!

  15. Every child is born with an innate ability to travel, grow, and explore their lives to the fullest extent. It is to the beguilement of the adults and the treachory of their minds that enslave and corrupt what we call… the gift.

  16. Um. Gifted. What can I write about it besides superheroes? I dunno. Darn it I still have the writer’s block so what can I think of to break it down. I suppose I can talk about my character but the minute is almost up. What about him is gifted, though? I cannot think at the moment. It sucks.

  17. It wasn’t that she was gifted, though she was. It wasn’t that she was intelligent, though she was. It was that her eyes filled with a flame whose heat was felt by all who interacted with her. It was passion, pure and simple. It was desire in it’s highest form. And that was what made her so electric. She was everything all the time.

  18. He tried not to fidget and carefully controlled his face as he repeated the lie. Her eyes darted from his eyes to his mouth and back again, searching for a tell. When his eyebrows rose, and he brandished a quizzical smile, she shook her head, laughing off her paranoia. Mentally, he gave himself a high-five.

  19. “Gift” can be a verb here. “Why did Grandma gift me a gold coin for Diwali?” was a commercial I heard once. I think it was a car commercial. What did I gift you for Diwali? I gifted you some small light.

  20. Today was gifted with a much welcomed warm breeze. The man was sharpening his axe on a very old wetstone. He had used up all his leftover wood and needed to chop down some more trees. He had no pleasure in doing that. For him, trees and other were just as much alive as he.

  21. I remember that there was a gifted program in Junior High. I also remember that I wasn’t selected for it. That is all I remember about the gifted program.

  22. I sat in the back of the class, my eyes on the window. The teachers voice was naught but a soft monotone, droning over me. A cotton blanket of boredom, smothering me. My thoughts drifted and soared over the clouds, sprouted wings and glided with the birds.

This wasn’t for me, I was destined for greater things. I was gifted.

    I was special.

  23. I am gifted. In fact, I’m so gifted you look like an ant in comparison. A tiny ant

    by Bradley on 11.11.2015
  24. who is really so gifted? I like to think that I have gifted traits, but gifted may not mean in a particular skill or ability or talent. But as a rare trait of character, a genuine person is a gifted person. A person who is themselves is a gifted person.

  25. A lot of the posts on the band’s forum proved to Melody that she wasn’t gifted whatsoever. In fact, looking through everyone’s creative stories, poems, and drawings really made Melody feel worthless. Then again, even if she could do all of those things, who would she show them to?

  26. I’ve always been jealous of the gifted people. People who are great dancers, singers that can just socialize or people who are generally gifted to be awesome. I don’t know, are they really just “gifted” or do they work towards cultivating those cool things?

  27. The word is gifted, I think about someone that has a special skill
Someone who is smart. Someone who will use this gift to change the world
A gifted person is very unique. I also think of this word as for someone who values what they have.

  28. “Gifted” was a word the public schools used to sell their accelerated academic programs. “This is a gifted class,” they’d say, “the workload is twice that of the ‘normal’ classes. It’s an honor to be invited to take gifted classes”. The students would later groan and discreetly roll their eyes at the word “gifted”.

  29. They said she was gifted. They were the teachers, the school counselors, her parents: the adults in her life. She was set up to create unrealistic expectations for herself and all those in her life. She was gifted, but she was also cursed.

  30. Her eyes glistened with a radiant glow; a soul bounding outside its physical chains. Those who held her hand felt its healing, gentle touch… an action of help, providing a gleam of hope. Things were to get better, and that’s all that mattered.

  31. Every parent that I talked to at the conference did not like what I had to say about their child. It the same spiel with all of them: That their son or daughter was gifted, that they had something special about them, and clearly I simply did not understand who they were, and thus it explained all the reasons why they were flunking in their biology and chemistry classes. I, of course, took it all in stride, and I let each mother and father rant at me as if letting it all out was cathartic and therapeutic – even if in the end, in regards to the pupil’s problems, it solved nothing.

  32. Everyone is gifted. Everyone has a talent. No person is without a talent and that means something. Don’t take for granted that gift you have been given. Develop it, study it, practice it, become it!

  33. Hello, I cannot think of anything to write at the moment because I have writers block so I may as well write about gifted. Harry Potter comes to mind, in the sense that Hermione Granger is gifted. Not so much, Ron, but hey, he’s the best friend. Oh nothing creative said.

  34. There are so many things we are gifted with in this world. Just today I was reflecting on the gift of seasons, especially here in Canada. I was reflecting on the miracles of change and how fortunate we are to have the opportunity to connect with nature in so many ways. This gives us so many ways to heal and grow.

  35. I dont know if I’m gifted with any talents. Im not sure if I can even think of any “special” thing about me. As far from puns and being very loud, I cant think of anything at all. What do I do that is important

  36. He shifted in his chair and moved his hand under the table toward her thigh as if none of the other guests were noticing. He was so full of enthusiasm. Overtaken with lust. But he hadn’t been gifted with the good sense to know that a woman expects a little more from a seduction than a gratuitous grab at her nether regions at the end of the evening. And so he went home alone, still panting at the thought of her and with his face still stinging from the slap.

  37. Granted with a gift from age five i was blessed with this uncanny ability to attract weirdos into my life, my mom was one, my dad too, My entire family corrupted with pride and ignorance, beauty and eccentricity, every thing you want in a life time movie and all the things you avoid in reality. I was gifted indeed. By the time i was 13 i was homeless with only one possession i could call my own, my identity, and now they want that too! Only thing i got left my name! and they want it there bound to have it too. They think they own it, that its theirs, that i stole it from them. But they stole it from me and now that i have it encapsulating my world, stuffed inside my suitcase, sown within the fabric of my skin, and living in the texture of my hair. They can take there equality and dot out the eyes of every one with a flicker of prejudice wedged in the back of there brain and slap around the next unsuspecting citizen until the world seems like a big gray blob of justice and freedom for all but i LAVANA RAY JACKSON refuse to give up the only decent value my family ever taught me for the sake of AMERICA.

  38. She was. From the beginning, they saw it come out of her and couldn’t understand where it came from or how she even understood it. She sang, like nature, like voices of birds, like rising of wind, like the whisper of the quiet. She sang, until she stopped one day. And never let another note escape her soul again.

  39. He wasn’t particularly gifted, unlike his sister a born nature. He was as bit as her opposite as night and day, yet it been him the “ungifted” boy who had succeeded and not his bright sister.

  40. “He thinks he’s God’s gift to mankind,” Aunt Wanda said, flicking suds from her fingers.

Annie handed her aunt a dishtowel, looking away. She managed to keep herself from saying, “isn’t he?” but couldn’t stop herself from blushing.
