  1. the raw, rough feel flowing through my hands. such a bitter beauty. the weight of the world resting on such a simple, organic piece of life. something so small-so fulfilling. who would have thought that generations could be sustained by something so humble. so unique. so full of life.

  2. i dont know what that word mean but i’m just wrtiting and even that i dont speak english because my native lenguage is the spanish. Spain is a beautiful contry but i’m latinoamerican, i’m from Colombia and i know my english sucks! really bad. So bye!

  3. I walked through a wheat field, with the wind caressing my face and sending the smell of flowers my way. Where was it coming from, I wondered? I looked around and then I saw the source: she was wearing a white sundress, a big straw hat (but wasn’t so big as to devour her face), and a smile. She strolled along as if the wheat field was her garden. I too strolled casually, making sure however, that our paths meet. When we bumped into one another, we apologized and then introduced ourselves. Her name was Kiana. And she had the most beautiful green eyes and tan that I’ve ever seen. Me, I wasn’t anything special. There wasn’t a stand out feature about me, but she saw something in me that I didn’t see, and smiled. And that in turn made me smile. I was just looking for a decent photo to take, I eventually explained to her. She merely nodded then walked away from me a few paces, and once she found a spot to stand at she began to pose. Without even thinking, I lifted my camera and began to take pictures of Kiana. She’s still beautiful on camera but not as beautiful as she in person. Where you can actually see her whole face light up with every smile. After that one encounter I never saw Kiana again, but I like to think she’s out there somewhere making the whole world happy with her beauty.

  4. The wheat spread out over the hills like a flowing line of golden sand. From afar, Dan thought it looked rather beautiful. He knew, however, that if he were to approach it, something much more sinister would be revealed. This wheat was like no other.

He coughed violently as the pack-horse carried him towards it. He felt terrified; he didn’t want to have to face the destructive force of the malicious wheat-farmers.

  6. He stacks the wheat stalks in his basket forcefully as her words play in his head over and over again. “I just don’t think I’m ready. I just don’t think it’s time.”

Will she ever be ready, he wonders. It’s been 8 years and she still always has an excuse.

  7. Wheat is a substance grown in fields, it makes things like biscuits and cereals, its healthy, it holds alot of fibre which is good for your digestive system, Wheat is very whole and honest food, i dont know why but it just is it just seems so honest and loyal, as loyal as a food can be i guess. It reminds me of the country side, of warm fireplaces and granola. Of camping and porridge and nature and life. it reminds me of family and the true grimy underbelly of work and farming. It reminds me of my hometown. and more importantly. my home.
