It was written there in English, plain as day, but the words made no sense. It was like she was viewing them through an ocean. Her glasses were fine – that wasn’t the problem. It was as if the words had their own distortion field

  8. In the begining there were the wealthy and the not so wealthy. The Notsos, as they were called, were a very diverse socio-group, compared to the Wealthy, or the Haves.

The Haves were divided into two groups. The Barrons and the Ins. The Barrons were a dark and craft bunch seducing some of the Notsos into thinking they were their friends. Seducing them like a vampire holds a willing victim near death and drains their blood leaving them barely enough to survive yet believing they have the same power and protection of their vampiric masters. This is how the Barrons survive.

The Ins, on the other hand, were like mesmerizing faeries. They would seduce, entertain, thrill, delight and flaunt their very wealth. And some of the Notsos ate up the decadence. They absorbed the fantasy. If only they could get close enough to touch it, but never have it, because it’s actually a fantasy, right?

But times changed and turbulence brewed among the Notsos. They split amongst themselves. Idiological, half awake, yet asleep. For the Barrons and Ins did battle; control of the whole flock.

  32. How do you know if you’re truly wealthy? Can it be measured by how many cars you own or how big is your house? Or can it be measured by how many friends you have or how much the people that matter love you? It doesn’t really matter how wealthy you are.
