  1. I lay under the table, hoping that the others would simply pass over me and walk out of the room. However, it’s very hard to cramp yourself into a small space when you’re six foot one. The passer-by’s saw me, of course, some stared while others pointed and laughed.

    I didn’t belong there.

  2. “I’m feeling a tad under the weather,” I said to the boy.

Well, I don’t know about him. I’m hiding feelings tonight, I want to bury then underground.

I think he’s hiding from his girlfriend

She’s hiding from the one she loves.

I think those two over there are hiding from their parents.

What are you hiding from, what makes you go under with us?

Because we all go under somtimes.

  8. I go under often, under myself, underwater. I look upwards into my own life and can no longer interact properly with it. I view it through blurred lines and inconsistent light, and I wonder if it was ever really mine.

  10. under the green green grass there was something lurking, a terrible cliche that would hopefully never see the light of day, but too late, there it was, resplendent in the daylight. All those passages that will never be written.

  12. He just wants to get under her skin. Not in a sexual way (though that’d be nice too), just to break through that control that she has, that front that she puts up. What is she afraid of?

  14. I exhaled the last bit of air from my lungs and thought flat thoughts as I struggled to squeeze under the chainlink fence. I determinedly wriggled my scantily clad frame through a 6 inch gap between the ground and the metal teeth of the fence. The teeth left red bite marks along my back and snagged my bikini bottoms but I didn’t care. It was after midnight and still over 80 degrees, I was willing to suffer much worse in the name of a cool chlorinated pool. I picked my dusty self up off of the ground and frolicked toward my cement oasis. I stop short. My delight disintegrates. The pool is empty

  15. Under, under watch, underdog, under the pressure of some realization that my contributions,if there indeed are any, to this society will not be nearly as everlasting as I was told in the second grade and that with each passing step I grow closer and closer to this un-noteworthy oblivion.

    by Emerson on 03.10.2009
  16. Under. Well. Under. Hmm… What can I saw about under? Under is the opposite of above. If I was in the clouds I would be above the world, if I resided in the core of the earth than I would be under the earth. It all just really works the same now dosen’t it. hmm… Well now I’m just shwoing off how I can look away when i’m typing and still spell what I want to spell. Okay. Well. That kind of died. Sorry guys. I’m just gonna post this now. Alrighty-goodnighty…

  19. I’m under par. Below you. Never really good enough. You want me to feel inferior. A spatial metaphor, but sometimes it’s literal. I’m under your power, but sometimes I’m underneath you in bed, under your thumb. I’m not under my own control anymore.

    by Leah on 03.10.2009
  20. I am under pressure. Pressure put on to me by my parents, school, family, supposed friends, and myself. I’m not sure if I’ll crack or pull through.

  23. once when I was alittle girl I found a lady bug under the kitchen stove……..I must have been about three and it is one of my earliest memories. I just held that Lady bug and looked at it and though it was so cute and made it my first real pet. I sat on the floor and played with that bug for a long time and have never forgotten that moment. It must be when I first knew I was alive. They say we all have that moment of realizing we a are alive and someone. So now as a grown adult i still like Lady bugs and they make me smile .

  26. The building was under construction. The construction workers had no power over the tornado that was heading their way. The project they had already started 5 years ago would be ruined in just about 5 minutes. What were they going to do? The tornado was expected to hit the exact spot where they were building. The building was supposed to become the tallest in the world. The workers were already on the 345th floor. people knowing the project planner all knew she would not let this happen to her dream building. The building would become an office on some floors and condos on other floors. Once she heard about the tornado she quickly came up with a plan.
She would have to spend millions more then she already had spent. her plan was brilliant but a challenge. She decided to hire all the citizens’ of their town to help with the protector. The protector would be a giant, strong quilt. It would be tall enough so that it could easily cover the building. She decided to go forth with her plan and so she did. Once the tornado past and eventually disappeared she continued on the tallest building in the world. As 35 years past and she was already 65, the building was finished. She titled it Dash. No one knows why. People say it stands for designing A Super house. But that’s only a guess from many people. Shortly after her dream building Dash was finished she died in her sleep.

  28. The still
    silent
    freezing
    cold
    pond
    Sits alone
    on a
    chilling
    morning
    sunrise.
    Under the still surface
    a small
    minute
    tiny
    fish
    darts between the rocks.
    The sun
    rises steadily
    siloetting the mountains
    casting shadows, reflections,
    on the still pond surface.
    We sit here.
    Together
    Watching in silence
    the slow
    steady
    sunrise.
    The fish darts away
    like a bullet
    as I throw
    In my bordem
    a small pebble.
    It flies
    than crashes
    then sinks
    Shattering the silence.
    A crack in the reflection
    of a silent
    chilling
    morning.

  30. Ahhhhhhh!I am falling off a cliff! I’m so glad I’ll fall safely under the Ocean. This started when we went to the Beach. There was a Cliff that you can jump off and dive into the ocean. I chickened out, but my friend PUSHED me! So there I was, falling from the sky, screaming as loud as I can, to the underwater.
I struck head first to the water. Then I remembered, I COULDN’T SWIM! I was sinking, trying to hold my breathe. But then everything went black. I woke up with a mermaid by my side. She told me that I’m safe now. The strange thing is that I’m still underwater, but I’m breathing. I thought I was in Heaven already or i was imagining things. She took me to Atlantics. Gave me a shell necklace. And said “Goodbye, Forever”. I got confused and said, “But wait! I have so much Questions….” The mermaid made a bubble, I got inside it. It lift me to the land.
I woke up on the sand. My friend apologized. I told what happened to me.They laughed and told me it was just a dream. There right it was just a dream. I looked down, I had the shell necklace

    under the sea.
    Darling it’s better.
    Down where it’s wetter.
    Take it from me.
Up on the shore they work all day.
Out in the sun they slave away.
    While we devoting.
    Full time to floating.

  33. i was trapped under the clear midnight blue water… i had no direction in which to go in. i couldnt go up or down, nor left or right. but i had to struggle; the water was geting colder every second and my arms and legs were going numb.

i kicked my legs harder knowing that i would go up. my arms were now completely numb but i had to try, i couldnt give up here. i started using all the force that i could, trying to make myself go above the surfuace. i felt the water current pulling and pushing me. i had no idea which way the shore was. i didnt no where up or down were either. i felt all my last oxygen go out of mea as the water shived me into a massive rock. all i saw was the little silver bubbles rush out of me. the ocean was sucking me in deeper and deeper in until i felt my back lay on the sandy floor of the ocean…….

  34. My under belly hangs and its starting to swing and one day my baby is just gonna get tired of seeing it and she’s gonna realize that I’m still feeding it and she’ll leave me. But when she does, my underbelly will keep me warm and it probably won’t tell me to ever do the dishes again.

  36. Underwear! haha… I find it quite impossible to write when under this amount of pressure. Underwear is the first thing came to my mind. A lot of people are talking around me, it makes it hard to focus. Filler, filler, filler. Remember that guy from happy days? Ron Howard? He directed the grinch with jim carey in it. Pretty cool, eh?

  37. The game of water polo is played under water. Spectators cannot see everything that happens. This makes the game very very interesting. Referees can only make calls on what they see above the water. This is a very poor representation of what is occuring in actuallity. There is all sorts of kicking, punching, pinching, pulling and grabbing.
