  1. They shiver and scramble under the touch of the wind. Trying to debate which feeling is more intense, which helps them fall to the earth. Which way is the best way to fall? Ready to just run to the end, or ready to fall into the wind.. ready to give way to the wind.

    by Alicia on 09.01.2010
  2. The roots stretched on forever
    Winding
    binding
    nothing is separte
    though we fail to see
    winding
    binding
    contrary becomes the human race.

  3. They’re pretty big. And isn’t it weird how they’re alive but they don’t breathe? And they don’t have a heart? And they don’t get all burnt up in the sun? I dunno, trees are actually pretty creepy. They don’t cry, they don’t have feelings, but they’re alive. They’re definitely alive.

  4. So much greenery! It’s exploding in my eyes! I should have gone to the eye doctor sooner and gotten a new prescription. Who knew that trees had leaves? Who knew that leaves had veins? I want to open those veins and suck out the marvelous life juice that makes a tree a tree!

  5. Trees are very big. You know, like giants. People like to confuse them a lot and for some reason, children like to compare them. I hate children. They are the scum between my toes and do not even know where that reference comes from because they’re far too little. There is a range of children that I find acceptable to talk to and those are the ones that are my age or others that are far from even being able to talk.

  8. Double vision,
    trees,
    wobbling in and out,
    meshing into
    a dark green blob
    in the moonlight,
    fog on my window
    glistening with pollution.
    I heard a crash,
    and watched as the red
    came tumbling down on me
    with its heat
    like the trees.

  9. I’m bothered by seeing fallen trees. It makes me feel powerless, aware of how vulnerable I am in life. If hundred-year-old trees can be struck down by lightening in the bat of an eye, I must barely be escaping sudden death myself . . .

I’m growing everyday and becoming more of who I am.
I can never be anyone else. Nor can you.
Learn to love not only everyone else but also yourself.
As us thespians say “Act your part well, for in it lies your honor.”
You’ve been cast as you in the play of Life. Act your part well.
