  1. The train was scheduled to leave at 10:52 PM. Jonathan knew if he got on, he would never come home. He could never look back; never change his mind. He was running away from responsibility, something a real man would never do.

  2. running a train of thought to the end from the beginning dead grass one time i burned off my bangs bending me head down far enough to block wind. We were sitting on a trussel in a train yard between the high school and the diner. She went to rehab a few years back and now she’s clean and she doesn’t want to remember any of it ever happened.

  3. It doesn’t matter where you’re going. It matters who you’re going with. These were my thoughts as I boarded the train, Xander’s arm around my shoulder. Though we’d been forced to go on this journey against our wills, I was determined to- not have a good time, per se, but we WOULD be together. And that was all that mattered, here in our fucked up Society.

  4. This train went down in history that night. Once it arrived in New York, the police found 18 dead, 4 injured and 23 missing. Among the four injured passengers were the conductor, his son, a politician and a young foreign woman. None of them spoke when the police found them hiding together. None but the conductor’s son.

  6. It was hard to be here, waiting for the train that would present his next mission. Arthur stood beside him, sensing that something was wrong yet not quite understanding; the rest of the team was oblivious, lost in their own pre-mission jitters. Cobb didn’t quite trust the one, but he was a solid architect; and anyway, he would have to do.

  7. I love train. they make me think of romantic trips across the country in my grandparents’ time. It also makes me think of europe because we don’t have many trains here. I like city subway trains too, but for a different reason. I just think the whole thing is kind of surreal, going underground and coming out somewhere completely different.

    Wheels on steel,
    loud
they used to wake me up
    at six in the morning

    Not anymore
    I’ve gotten used to them
    kind of like my current
    situation

They think that they’re all powerful
they know just what they can do
    but then…
    they flip

    and their world
    crashes
    and burns

    Trains.
    What odd things they are.
They bring what is needed to those that need

  12. I like trains. They roll and roll and usually stop only when they want to. Actually, I lied. They stop when the conductors tell them to stop. There’s a train that goes behind my house, and you know, I suddenly really want to write a story about trains.

You remember Thomas the Train right? The talking one that kind of freaked me out when I was little? Yeah. That one. I mean, it was okay for a while, but then he just started getting really, really creepy.

My friend has a group that sings about trains. It’s kind of funny.

  13. Choo choo, baby. She’s a’comin’.

Faster than you can ride across two slats of metal, a roaring engine in chugging its way down the tracks and she don’t stop for nobody. I want to be that train. I want to watch somebody cross my tracks and I’m gonna blow my horn and tear them in two – 70mph steel and anger.

    Try and cross me again.

  14. I am not skilled with or at anything you may think I am, I am simply good at pretending to learn, if I must. I cannot bear the thought of discipline or any form of practice; it is too stable. And I am not.

  15. The train eventuallly slowed to a stop and the teenagers and pre-teens began to grab their things and get of the train. It was time for another year of Hogwarts, and after last year, no one was really sure what would happen. I mean, what else could happen when you went to the same school as the Boy Who Lived? You know, the one who defeated You Know Who. But, back to the question. What could happen?

    Well, no one really knows.

    is blank
like a fresh piece of paper
    no image
    just cool white relaxation
i have no opinion right now
    no worries
    no fear
    I just am
    one
    person
    living
    breathing being
    me

  20. I take trains from Boston to New York sometimes and vice versa. It’s all good and they are very comfortable and I like to think of myself as being a passenger on the Hogwarts Express. No such luck though, I always end up at Penn Station, not Hogwarts. Or Platform 9 and 3/4.

  22. But however will one be able to see the train amongst the fog and smoke?
I waited for her to come, her steel and strong body to take me away so that I can maybe watch the wildflowers whirl in the meadows.

The train, where are you train! Please take me away from this jungle of high metal and crowded streets to where I belong and will never cease.

  35. I’ve never gone anywhere by train. It’s kind of weird how like 100 years ago trains were an incredible, revolutionary way to travel and unlocked the western US, but now it’s… somewhat of a novelty. Maybe in another 100 years we’ll have jetpacks. Hell yeah.

  40. The train was rushing past her, and it threatened to blow the hat off her head. Raising one hand to grip it, she anxiously tried to smother down her dress as well.
Doing a half-turn, she slowly started walking opposite of the train, watching from the corner of her eye as it passed her, peoples faces becoming blurs as it sped up.
