  1. Texture is more important to me in food than taste is. When I eat a sandwich, taste matters, but it’s really the combination of textures that make eating a pleasure. The texture of the bread: grainy, airy, and the smoothness of the meat, the gooiness of the toppings, the juicy of the tomatoes. It all matters.

  2. the smell of something sweet
    is never as good
    as the texture
    your skin
    your hair
    the food
like the sound of snow falling
and the shape of a snowdrop on your outstretched toungue.
    Nothing else is like texture:
    coarse
    smooth,
    grated
    soft.
    Makes you angry
    makes you tired
you remember the moment you pulled your lips
    from the silken nipple
the sweet abandon of being loved
    nourished and replenished right there
    in your mothers smile

The texture of the rough wool blanket under my hand and the feel of the cold air pushing through the cracks in the window reminded me that nothing in this world was guaranteed and that I was just lucky to be alive at that moment in time. 14. i fucking hate textures, i wish everything could just be one solid color. i mean really, why are textures even necessary, all it is is a bunch of colors put together, why cant it just be called something simple like a bunch of colors in a certain order? texture is a misleading word, and misleading words upset me.

It is one of your body’s biological interpretations of a sensation. It is the feeling of an object in the most literal way possible. Texture by nature as we can understand it is based on the feeling relative to your skin. It is our way of perceiving the physical element of the world in which we exist.
