  1. Long, winding tape. Sticking to every possible surface, wrapping itself around any unsuspecting object, being a general nuisance to everything around it. That’s what tape is for, and what it was always intended for. Handy for keeping a prisoner’s mouth shut, sure, or for tying up that old Christmas tree in the attic that seems to shed pine needles like there’s no tomorrow, but annoying as hell.

  2. i have a tape recorder. it refuses to switch on. i think it doesn’t want to hear my voice.. or? but why doesnt it want to. it has to switch on. please switch on my dear tape recorder.

  7. I love tapes. Why did tapes have to be taken over by everything electronic instead? Tapes were the easiest things to use to record shows. And have you seen how people used tapes to record their words and let their lovers hear it?

  9. what is tape? tape is a black object, rectangular in shape and sticky. yes sticky. why sticky then? perhaps it is used for trapping insects n lizards. does that make it a good trap? no. despite its surface being sticky, the lizard is much much stronger. and seriously, if you were the lizard, would you walk into something sticky? the obvious answer is no

  10. the tape was in place, it was there all the time. i didn’t see it though, i thought. i must have missed it. he looked at me and asked, so what’s the idea about? i shrugged and took the tape. there were many boxes and i needed to move out fast. i couldn’t stay any longer

  22. The tape was stuck in the corner of the frame. It bothered me terribly. I scratched and scratched away at it, only succeeding in peeling my fingernail back and making the tape spot sticky with exposed adhesive. All I wanted to do was to have a nice frame of my little brother for the funeral. Was that too much to ask?

  25. Tapes are the most oldest thing to listen to music. they are also used to stick pages etc.There was a time when tapes were used to listen to music but now we use mp3

  40. I miss cassette tapes. Yes, they were bulky. But there is just a quality of them being worn down as I played them more often. And then they would just eventually broke down! In my hometown Jakarta, they still do sell them. But where I am living now, Singapore, they do not.
