Long, winding tape. Sticking to every possible surface, wrapping itself around any unsuspecting object, being a general nuisance to everything around it. That’s what tape is for, and what it was always intended for. Handy for keeping a prisoner’s mouth shut, sure, or for tying up that old Christmas tree in the attic that seems to shed pine needles like there’s no tomorrow, but annoying as hell.

what is tape? tape is a black object, rectangular in shape and sticky. yes sticky. why sticky then? perhaps it is used for trapping insects n lizards. does that make it a good trap? no. despite its surface being sticky, the lizard is much much stronger. and seriously, if you were the lizard, would you walk into something sticky? the obvious answer is no

I miss cassette tapes. Yes, they were bulky. But there is just a quality of them being worn down as I played them more often. And then they would just eventually broke down! In my hometown Jakarta, they still do sell them. But where I am living now, Singapore, they do not.
