She felt his hand move up her back, his feet move slight apart. They stood like that for a while, swaying slightly, happy to be there.

Watch how, on the island, everything is green. See how the wind makes all of the palm trees sway. They want us to call this utopia, but the taste of scant fresh water and undercooked fish is not something I’ve adjusted to in all the time we’ve been here. The chief is fat with white hair, and she directs us all to wade up to our knees in the waves of the ocean. She makes us pray that a god I don’t believe in will save us.

Ese meneo era reconocible desde la distancia, anunciaba el acercamiento de un aluvión de feromonas emanadas de un ser elemental tan seguro de sí que dejaba de ser importante la genitlia. Su género era el deseo mismo.

The wind is swaying softly as the snow filters down to the ground. Where toes are freezing into their shoes and scarves are blowing in the wind. When the scarf sways in the wind, my lungs seize in the cold. When my lungs seize in the cold, I feel the need to grab for my inhaler – but I try not not at all. I don’t like using it. But I like the cold.

the curtain sways in the wind as I look out the window at the seaside view below. I can feel an overwhelming sense of peace as I breathe in the ocean air and watch the trees and scrub in the hillside below sway in the salty breeze.

My body moves in rhythm with the wild music. I can’t help it. There is magic here. I look across the cramped, dark space at Rian. They’re lost in the exultant song.

Sway with me, make me sway. We have palm trees here. We have hula dancers with swaying hips. I, on the other hand, have been swaying my hips too much in Zumba. They are both so painful, sharp shooting pains below my waist and toward my spine. I think I need to sneak into a neighbor’s house, any neighbor will do, steal a bottle of oxycontin, or else cocaine, or else heroin (I’ll try anything once; oh wait, addiction is formed with one try; is heroin addiction worse than hip pain; I don’t think so). With a bottle of oxycontin in my hands, my hip pain will disappear without even taking a pill. But I’ll keep taking them for days, weeks, months, the rest of my life. Whoopee, I’ll be able to sway my hips again. And everyone thinks this is fiction. Sway with me, make me sway.

I watched an interview with Paul Auster yesterday morning, while gulping down my porridge. Porridge, in an attempt to lose weight.
I sometimes view authors in a way that I shouldn’t. I hear their voice in my head when I read, and then I see them in a video or an interview and I can’t help but feel like maybe I shouldn’t have allowed that to happen.

The boat swayed with the water. It rocked and rolled. There was cargo rolling around on the deck. I just ignored it and walked to the mast. I looked down. I jumped. Now I could sway with the water too. I could be free.

She’s bobbing in the wind, like some kind of demented flag. High off her ass, is what dispatch said, but now I’m not so sure. She’s high, sure, but high on control. This is the only thing in her life that she has control over. Who am I to take it away? She doesn’t deserve to die, but she doesn’t deserve to live through the pain. Put her out of her misery. “Ma’am–”
The body drops. Cracks against the pavement, limp as a rag doll. She’s gone, no longer swaying, but still as a stone, crumpled on the sidewalk in front of me.

I learned to sway in the dining room. My mother taught me how to move just so; she taught me to shift my weight in the most mesmerizing way. It was to the tune of Glenn Miller on the gramophone; my father stood in the doorway and called me a looker. I didn’t know then what he meant, but I do now. I do now.
When my mother said ‘sway,’ she always meant it doubly so. When my mother taught me how to sway, she taught me how to speak the language of persuasion. Every night I practiced in my room, my girlfriends reading magazines on the bed and laughing.
We learned to sway in the back room of the music hall. When we said ‘sway,’ we meant it triply so. When we said it, we saw the other’s hips our head, in circles, dizzying. When we said it, we implied the language of persuasion but knew we didn’t even need it. When we said it, we trembled with fear and touched our soft lips together behind the magazines.

When I think of the word sway I think of the choir at my church on a Sunday morning. I love being at my home church because I love seeing the choir sway back and forth to the music.

You can sway with someone in a slow dance. Sway Lee is a music artist. Things can sway in the wind. People sway when they drink to much.

I love the way that my choir sways back and forth at church. This is the first thing that my mind thinks about when I think of this word.
Today I went to the beach. Someone brought set up an umbrella. There was a storm coming so the wind was blowing really heard and the umbrella was swaying back and forth until it finally tipped over.

I swayed to the left, I swayed to the right. Sway like that rap song. The trees sway in the wind. He swayed me through the dance floor. I love swaying in the wind. Sway all day, sway, okay?
By Allie URL on 03.07.2019
To sway is tomove or cause to move slowly or rhythmically backward and forward or from side to side. People sway when they drink too much. The tree sways. Sway all the day. Sway left and right. Sway to the beat of the music. Sway is a weird word. I do not type fast enough but… sway
By Kyle Hill on 03.07.2019
Sway makes me think of a rap song. It also makes me think about swaying in the wind, or a dance move. Sway walking.

When i am sitting in a swing I like to sway back and forth. Sway rhymes with way, and the word way is in sway. it makes me think of the phrase sway in the wind, im not sure if that even is a phrase but I think it is.

The sway of the world has pulled me away from you. I still work downstairs in the house, and you still work above me, and we still have conversations when it gets dark sometimes, in the lamplight. Perhaps you feel that my blood has stopped rushing to the rhythm of your thoughts. Sometimes, you say something to me that makes me feel as if you’re wondering where it got lost, groping for it in the unlit areas of me. Most of the time, I assume and understand that you never knew, never reciprocated, and that sense I had of our souls overlapping was merely an illusion of a glamorous time.
