  9. Whenever I try to work on something I feel like I get caught up on details that don’t matter. I tend to teach myself parts of a problem that really don’t pertain to the problem itself. It’s almost like a bonus for me that I get the opportunity to learn more about other things whenever I attempt challenges overall! I’m a procrastinator!!!

  18. Is this the only word on here? Strung? This is the word I just had! I am too strung out for this to even write about it. Is this a joke? A troll? Are you messing with me?

    by Vianne on 06.16.2013
  19. Strung? This is the word I just looked at what other people wrote. Hmm. I think it would be cheating to really write about it, wouldn’t it? I believe so. I am so strung out from work right now anyways. A long shift with someone hard to get along with. That is life.

  21. Strung up on a tree was a haunch of pig.

SIlas looked at it, then looked around.

It wasn’t really the haunch of a pig… a bit smaller, but just enough to take him as far as he needed to go.

    Silas bent down.

He picked up a sharp rock, then, with it in one hand, climbed up the tree and cut the haunch down.

Once it was down, he stuffed it up his shirt and began to run.

He ran a long while, not really consciously, until his calves hurt and he could no longer breathe properly.

    Then he ran some more.

  22. The damn bee flew out of nowhere. I felt annoyed greatly, and just as I lifted my hand up trying to hush it away, it has strung me! Unbelievable!

For now it’s back to the “old days”, drying my clothes outside. I don’t mind doing this at all. The only downside is that the clothes do not smell as fresh and you can’t dry them if it’s raining.

  29. Hanging over the edge, there was nothing but a string between her and the fall that would bring her death. The pit dropped endlessly down into a raging river–the echoes of the roaring waves jumped up to her–that would carry away her body and shatter her bones in seconds. She would be a ragdoll in that raging water.
All she had to do was put one foot in front of the other, and stay balanced on the razor-thin wire. And stay balanced.
    And…

  30. I don’t now what a strung is. However, it reminds me of strings, and I love strings instruments, especially the cello. I don’t know why, but its sound is just magnificent. I also love the clarinet, even though it’s not a string instrument.

  31. Strung, like strung out. When I think strung out I think strung out on feelings for a person, usually someone you like in a boyfriend girlfriend kind of way. Like you want to talk to them all the time or tell everyone about them. They’re all you can think about and it’s driving you crazy.

  33. Many people get strung out on drugs or alcohol. Some people like beads that are strung on a string and wear them like a necklace. Either way, it is a weird word. I bet people who have to learn our language have a difficult time because one word can mean so many different things. I would hate it if I had to learn a new language that had evolved so much. I don’t know any other languages other than English. I feel uneducated when I am around other people who know many languages. My son got his bachelor’s degree in Spanish, but I can’t speak it at all. I have to take him with me when I visit Spanish speaking countries.

I pulled them off in a rage over your leaving and they rolled all over the floor.

  40. Mendulie had always been a rather high-strung individual. Her bouncy nature, bright clothing, and tendency to jump into the conversations of random passersby caused her to be known as quite the conspicious creature, or, as her mother said, a nuisance. It was perhaps for this reason that it was no surprise when, in mid morning on a sunny day in June, the petite fifteen year old was reportedly seen launching herself from Mr. Tomsenboyle’s roof and descending head over heels into a large pot of soup.
