  1. I wish I could sleep in the stillness of the night, but the stress just keeps me awake. I can’t stand the thought of not working, and yet, when I’m there, I don’t have the energy to keep up. Overwhelmed, not ready to take on anything more, I’ve simply had enough. Burned out? You bet.

  2. In the autumn struck gardens I see a stillness in the branches as there are no leaves to sway. In the scorching heat of the desert there is a stillness as there is so little life.

  8. There is nothing more beautiful than still water. It is so easily disturbed; but for that time, nothing gets in the way of its simple stillness. I wish my mind could be as still as water sometimes, but then again, just as easily as you could snap your fingers, throw a rock in the water and …

  9. Stillness

Sometimes blasted into a stillness, dismembered.
Others held in the frozen chair of time’s hiccups.
Often when sleeping, but not always.
Most rarely when you don’t ask for it.
When you forget, you have nothing but an active mind, distending strange meanings too all things. Never granted. Always from within. Broken. Phoenix.

  10. There never was stillness like there was while waiting, crouched in the dirt, waiting to be ambushed, completely sure you were about to be ambushed. It only lasts for a few seconds, sometimes less than one, but it just seems to drag on, terrified of what you’re sure is about to happen, and scared to think otherwise.

  11. I am in an unbearable place, somewhere where time tortures you as long as it takes. i have a need to open up and place a fire into this black hole, but lack the courage to let go. oh stillness where no progress takes place, why do you torture me this way. I am just heartbroken at this point and have no desire to take another step and go. So here I stay awake and conscious but paralyzed to take a chance.

  14. stillness is what comes to mind when i think of a long shore under a cold breeze on a far island in the sea beyond all sense of the world and its people, beyond a sense of the ordinary, a place where we can find what meaning we can in the void of our minds as we tumble through experience, ever revolving in metaphysical space, and in that a kind of stillness itself where we find… whatever it is we find.

  21. Stillness is the quietness within. It is the most powerful dimension within the human being. Stillness is attained by meditation and requires not a lot of discipline but a lot of practice. It is important to have stillness within for a healthy life and for a healthy body.

  22. There are more than a thousand words that I can use to describe stillness. Not being able to move, not wanting to move, not willing to do with anything. But there’s another part. There’s that part where you have peace within yourself and you want nothing to do but with yourself. You realize that you have so much more than what you’re given and that stillness gives you peace.

  25. I could feel the absolute stillness right at the moment when I stepped in the classroom. Everyone was scribbling, reading, writing on their own desks. This silence was not queer yet it bugged me. I understood why they were all so unwaveringly hard-working but it just reminded me that I, too, was supposed to be doing the same thing right then. The time-is-running-short feeling is an queasy one and I could feel the pressure hovering upon me as if I was carrying a 1000 pound-heavy bag. There is a saying in Chinese, “there is always stillness prior to a thunderstorm”. considering the tranquility in my room, I believe the storm is just nearby and is coming very soon, perhaps I should gather up my mind and start preparing myself for the storm.

  32. I enjoy the stillness that comes with rain. I enjoy sitting in my basement while the sound of the little droplets splatters against my windows. I enjoy the light that the dark sky gives to everything indoors. The stillness of rain is not quite still, it’s a kind of commotion that seems detached from the real world. I love this kind of stillness.

I’ve got nothing else to live for. No, it’s not you’re fault. It’s me. It’s always me. I lost you and you were everything and now I have nothing to go back to, and that’s why I’m nothing.

Tony signed looking at Bucky his brows furrowing in his sleep he seemed to dream about something that he wasn`t in in, Tony smiled reaching a hand over the other man`s jaw and he sighed in his sleep for a second Tony wondered what would happen if he presses a kiss over his lips just a childish one that so he did leaning in pressed his lips over his soft ones, and smiled when Bucky moved against him in his sleep.
