  8. I woke up with a roach on my face, I didn’t know what to think or do. I just screamed. Screamed at me not knowing how it got there or where it came from. I washed my face several times over, trying to get rid of the grim get rid of the evidence. Like most people do. Something happens, and they try to banish it from their memory, make it seem like it never existed. It’s a way of making your own world, owning yourself rather than having things own you.

  12. The one in it self startled me. Startled me into writing what ever I could think of. Maybe the first time I was actually scared. I remember all these times a friend would jump out at me in the dark and grab an arm or a leg and my heart literally speeds up and i get all hot and afraid in the matter of a second and a hand grab.

Work was over. And there I was, banging her sister on the couch when she opened the door. I can only imagine how startled SHE was to see it.

I was starled when I realised that all this time I thought that I knew him, that he was special to me personally, that I was special to him personally but it turns out that all that was not true. There is nothing special. He’s just a guy I wanted to stay the same as I knew him when I was a teenager. Things don’t stay that the same, especially when it comes to people.
