  5. When I entered the room, I saw them together. I didn’t believe it. I always thought he loved me. At least that’s what he always told me. He always joked around saying she was ugly, manish, and fat. Never in a thousand years would I have believed otherwise. I loved him, and I thought he love me too.

  13. I was startled today when the dog leaped out of my arms and tried to land on the grooming table. As this happened, the breeder reached out and snapped off her faux fingernail. It was gross. It bled. The nail was on the ground. I felt bad, though. Technically it was not my fault, but I still feel guilty about it. I apologized profusely: inperson and in text.

  24. startled, i always picture running in the woods and hearing a creature such as a deer, usually nothing, but we still are fearful nonetheless. how many times have we actually encountered something we are legitimately frightened of when we are jogging or hiking? honestly, why are we so afraid?

  34. i was very surprised at the way he was holding the gun there, in his hands. it wasn’t the way you would expect to see it, all mechanical and matter of fact like in the movies. no. he held it much more like a man holds his sweet, sweet lover. or like a child holds it’s teddy bear at night. it was his comfort, his joy, his best friend. his surrender, his hope. i was captivated by it.
