  2. I tend to stall doing things that need to be done and then make up for the lapse in time by working very quickly. Recently I have begun to do my work early in the hopes of having some time for myself after the work is done. I guess it is working because here I, writing…

  3. I am stalling to write anything at all but 60 sec is not a lot of time to stall if I’m going to write anything at all…this whole time I’ve only been thinking of the bathroom and going to pee in the dark at the bar last night because the lights were out in the stall.

  6. “Just go just go just go just go!” I scream, pushing her away from me. The sharp tips of the tendrils of darkness sear through my skin and I start coughing up blood, forced out of me by the poison.

  7. She crept into the horses stall hoping she had made it unseen. She tossed the blankets from his back and grabbed at his mane. She threw her leg over and then she was off. Where would they go this time?

  8. Stall that’s what I’m doing now…stalling before I write. Like a car when it just can’t go anymore, or it barely starts. IS stalling like proctrsatinating? Putting off what I don’t want to do. I want to create good lesson plans for my ESL class, but I stall when i have free time.

  9. stall who what where when why stall the hackey sack on your foot and stall it for as long as you can. Quit stalling and do your homework so you dont need to do so much this weekend. Then you can watch more football and not do chi-square bullshit so much. That shit is stupid and ridiculuous

  10. huh, not too much to do. Just babble and try to keep them talking or at least interested until he gets back. Maybe trip or do something obnoxious like laugh too loudly; call attention to yourself or to something else, create a distraction. Or that noise the car makes when the battery dies.

  11. When I think of the word stall, I think of a mad scientist stalling someone at his front door, waiting until his stitched-together beast to pass out from the newly administered tranquilizer.

  12. Ladies and gentlemen

    Step right up

    Prepare to see this stall…disappear.

    That’s right, disappear.

By throwing this sheet over the top of this here stall…

And saying a few magic words.

    Abracadabra, Alakazam,

    And now…

    WALAH!!!

    The stall has…disappeared.

  13. Stalling is a form of non-movement. Recently a healer told me that cancer was a bunch of stalled cells that decided to tell the body that it had to get in shape.

  14. I stall as I sit here thinking of something to write about. Perhaps I should write about bathroom stalls with odd things written on the walls, or the cockroaches that sometimes visit when you’re doing numero dos.

  15. Stalling for time, unsure of what to say. Stuttering thoughtlessly, butchering phrases. Speeches practised for weeks are forgotten in seconds. The powerpoint doesn’t help, and your notes are gibberish. You’re nauseous and sweaty and shaky.

  16. Like a bathroom stall? I don’t need to go right no. But later I will and then I will put off the act because I busy at the moment. I always stall when it comes to a dump. I stalling right now about my homework too. I don’t want to do it!

  18. the stall was full of horseshit, but I crawled through it just the same. I was trying to get to the end of the barn without being seen by the German taking a piss from the rafters above. Somehow, i knew he would see me, alert the others, but I managed to make it to the end without incident. Unless you count the Horseshit.

  24. Is this what this is? Stalling? Essentially, all I’m doing is stalling by writing this. I’m stalling for time. Stall. Stall. Stall. Stall. Stall rhymes with ball. And hall. And wall. And call. Horses stay in stalls.

  25. the stall was brightly lit and colorful, just like my grandmother’s table at Christmas. The woman behind the table could have been my grandmother’s sister and I smiled at her wishing I could reach out and hug her like I could no longer do with my grandmother.

  26. She stood in her stall, a shining copper penny, all mine for the taking but still, I couldn’t touch her, knowing full well if I did, I would be forever gone in her stride, her gallop, her soft snort as I felt muscle bunching underneath me. It was so hard not to reach for that door bolt, to slide it back and simply vault up onto her back, and take off over the countryside.

  30. I went to the stable one morning, if not to actually ride and wear all of that expensive getup my mother had paid for, then just to pet the horses. Or maybe I wanted to smell them. I know that sounds weird, but I love the smell of the stable, almost as much as I love the feel of a horse’s fur.

  36. He was stalling, she knew it. They stood there, eyes locked in silence, each holding a gun to the other. How had this happened, she wondered as he talked on. How had it all come to this so quickly? Things had been good, she thought before finally pulling the trigger. Before, things had been good.

  37. Dusky light. Hay-strewn floor. Wood boards hastily nailed together enclose a dank space.

A horse paws the ground and bends his neck to eat. Torch light flickers as his owner enters.
