  1. I hate to be in it. Freaks me out, makes me red and tongue-tied. So much more of a behind the scenes kind of person. I’d rather be ignored for something great I did than have the dreaded spotlight shone on me. It’s fine for other people, in fact I envy those who can bear it.

  5. Having the spotlight always sucks. Being in choir for my four years of highschool taught me that i needed to be braver if i was going to get anywhere. When i finally was, i was in the spotlight all the time. and even though i thought it sucked, i felt pretty good cuz i was there because the girls in the choir, my friends, all wanted me to be there.

With surprising, ninja-like agility, a technician clambered up the wall, leaped onto the catwalk, and deftly fixed the light. The show was saved.

  15. quite simply, it’s a light that spots. It is placed upon a subject or object with the purpose of illuminating it for further inspection. But it does not necessarily mean light in the traditional sense, it can be used in a much more fluid way. You could use a mental spotlight to illuminate as aspect of your mind

    i love the spotlight.
because i want to be a musician.
i performed once and it was horrible.
nobody felt the beat or my lyrics.
