    He looked up into her watering eyes. She was so focused on the deck, her lips pursed and thin. True passion for something so simple. Within her worn out face, Francis saw warmth.

His hair is slicked back into a glossy dark wave, and he wears a crisp red tux, contrasted by a black tie. Everyone watches intently as handles the cards, anticipating his next move.

  6. solitary existence solitaire computer one woman game variations therein variations on the daily routine but never with anyone else. solitaire is a lonely game. solitary existence is a lonely thing, but i only know how to shake it up, not make it new.

  7. Let’s keep on pretending that you don’t know that I know that you do absolutely nothing all day but play solitaire. And take your phone off the line occasionally. And flip it up to a blank Excel sheet every time the boss walks by. I prefer to think of you as a dignified and hard-working man who puts in overtime because he loves his job, not because he wants to stay away from his wife.

  9. Alone, very peaceful or very lonely. Good or bad. What doesn’t have a good side to it and a bad side to it, isn’t that what Ying Yang is all about?
    Solitaire is just like everything else… Good and bad :)

  10. Spider solitaire. I had this game on my old iphone. I miss it. But sadly, I dropped it in the toilet. I could always just reinstall the app, but I’m too lazy…I guess. Tyler doesn’t know how to play solitaire. It’s the easiest game, in my opinion.

  11. A short solitarie game. I might move this card, or maybe that one with the fat old king smiling at the horizon. I cannot lose, because there’s no one to lose with. Just me and my solitarie game.

  12. I sat on my Computer playing Solitaire. I was trying to escape he world around me. All the pressures seemed to be just crashing down on me, breaking me slowly and painfully. I bought that maybe this mindless game would help me catch anorak, help me to forget all the stress and pressure that was being pounded upon my small body. I could no longer handle it, this game was no longer enough…I felt that my time to leave and escape was formidably coming…

  17. Sometimes I sit and pay solitaire when I need to be doing something more productive. It’s an easy way to clear the mind when you’re feeling overwhelmed.

    You would think I might be a good solitaire player.

    But, no. I suck.

    Oh well.

  19. A game that test your fast twitching muscles. It will give you headaches especially in front of a computer screen. Too much of a good thing is always a bad thing especially if it involves kings and queens on top of each other.

The person opposite him was reading a newspaper with the front headlines about some murder that had happened in the town he lived in. The woman next to him was watching his every card placement over his shoulder. The shriveled man opposite was sniffing loudly. He continued to play solitaire.

  23. On my hands and knees I scrabble around the floor of my life. Looking. I know it’s here somewhere. Bits of fluff and dust eddy around me. I misplaced it a while ago but my need for it seemed so far off I didn’t bother searching for it. Now it’s important. I want it. I reach way back under and feel its cold circular shape. I drag it out and there it is glinting still. The diamond solitaire of my future.

  25. A game of cards. It seemed so simple. A game of cards that could be played alone. He never thought it would end like this. It was just so strange, so out there, who would have thought he would ever have to save himself through a game of solitaire? It seemed a laughable thing until he realized… it was one game. One game, and he never had much luck with cards. Never.

  28. Endless hours at playing solitaire in the tent were how I spent my social camps. I was dragged along for the camping part, but you see, it was the social part I really had a problem with.Not to mention the freezing cold, and the fact that our tent was buried in snow drifts. I closed my eyes and imagined myself where I almost had been, warm, aquatic-smelling air, and ghostly white shapes tumbling through the murk behind the glass.

  29. Card game I was always good at. Sometimes I would get stumped and would have to restart. I would play this game back when I was a kid on an airplane, back in the day when they didn’t have tv’s. I would play this game with family in a round table.

  35. I always lose at solitaire. I’m really smart, I’m amazing at puzzles, and yet I have only won 8 games of solitaire out of the 460 games I have played on my iPod.

An ace of hearts to start off with hmm now what else does there appear to be? perhaps this queen can go a top the king no, that queen is black and so is the king.. hm lets see whats in the deck *goes through deck twice picking and choosing what will work now has all but two cards needed to win game* Ah!! the king of diamonds is right under this queen!! *throws tantrum* than has an epiphany, “I need a life with more ambitions than this”
