  2. My senses seem to be failing more and more as the days go by. Every day when I wake, my vision gets cloudier, my hearing becomes muddled, and my skin seems to be numbing increasingly.

Our lives would be so much different, in fact we probably wouldn’t even be able to survive in such a manner. Touch, the soft softness of beautiful long hair, sight, the prettiest flower ever.

    yet beyond these five I am failed.

    my senses fail me in situations of practicality.

    emotion.

    intelligence.

    my senses succeed me.

  7. There are five senses. Taste touch smell sight aned hearing. Smell is my favorite. I just love the smell of everything. Like pumpkin. I REALLY like pumpkin smell. anyway senses are very important.

  12. There’s a few scientists that tell me senses predict whether you’ll be eaten or not. Dolphins have the extra sense of sonar, they have very big brains. I haven’t eaten a dolphin in ages. Wait. I don’t even remember what a dolphin tastes like, it’s taste which usually determines my choice of who gets eaten.

  18. hearing, smell, touch, sight, taste…isn’t smell often overlooked. It shouldn’t be. One smell can take you back, back to when you were a four-year old standing next to mom in the kitchen while she made lollipops on the stove. Ahh. The memories.

  19. Well, I have five senses myself. Sight, touch, taste, smell, and hearing. I really like the taste sense, it allows me to enjoy the foods I eat and to savor what my body needs to survive. Sight and hearing allow me to both see my surroundings and to listen to them as well.

  23. my favorite sense has got to be smell. the smells of my kitchen when dinner is cooking, the beautiful aroma of my rose garden in the afternoon. the vanilla scent my daughter wears. sawdust always reminds me of my father, estee lauder , my mom. the cleans fresh air after a rain, the pine of christmas, cinnamon rolls baking, my husband fresh out of the shower, and even the sweet musky smell of grandma. all are memories to me.

  25. Senses come and go. There isnt a place where they are sure, only times when they are not. The last place you think you would find yourself is the last place that they will be. We are born into sight and smell and hearing, and when we die we do so without any of them. We can only hope to maintain as many as possible as long as we can.

  26. Senses allow you to sense things, such as, quite possibly, people. I mean, you can see people, and you can hear people, and you can touch people, and sometimes you can smell people, and you can taste people, every once in awhile.

    You can also sense other things, such as trees. Or butterflies. Or unicorns. Some people even say there’s a sixth sense. That’s absurd, though, but of course.
