  6. what the heck is sage? the word age is inside of it. it sounds something like… something that has to do with a princess and royalty.. this is probably all wrong. i wish i knew what sage meant so i could actually write about it. who says you need to know what something is in order to write about it? do we even know the things we write about? i mean if someone told you to write about yourself, you could do it.. without actually knowing yourself, right?

  7. So this one time, I saw the word “sage,” and I was like oh no! should I write about plants and spices and stuff, or should I write about a wise person from the days of robes and princesses and stuff! But then, I realized princesses were way cooler than plants. So. Once upon a time, there was a beautifull princess. And she liked sage.

  13. They say you should burn sage to cleanse your house. i always think of that when people move. maybe it’s leftover from my obsession with pagan religions, but the heavy, white smoke of sage always seemed pure and kind of scary to me. Scary enough to chase away any bad feelings leftover from previous owners.

  14. I remember cooking with my mom as a kid.
Her hands smelling like basil, parsley…but my favorite was sage.
It was always bitter, so so so bitter…but I loved it.
For some reason that’s stuck with me.
Even now, laying flowers by her grave, I can still remember the smell of sage on my hands, on her hands, when we cooked.
    I don’t think I’ll ever forget it.

  22. You people are not being sage at all. Whatsoever. Dear, how many times have your accounts been “mysteriously” hacked into? Did I not confess to you? And yet, you still talk about me.

I wonder if I’m on your mind as much as you are on mine.

  27. Green? Sage makes me think first of food, then cooking, which relates back to my mom. I don’t know if she’s ever used sage before, and if she has, I’m not aware of it, but it also makes me think of old or historical novels. The word sage just seems like an old-school word. It’s an interesting word, not quite what I’d expect when I look at it.
