  1. i think people have arguements mainly because they don’t talk right. they may say something but its not what the other wants to hear, or the other was just voicing out with out the need for a response. its not everyday that there is calm and serenity among the human race, that’s the human condition. we’re bound to have arguments and petty disagreements.

  2. To respond is to make a statement after someone asks you about something. It is simply to reply to what someone has told you. It can be also about reacting to certain things, like responding to calls or emergencies. To respond is a vital factor in communication. Without it, there wouldn’t be any reply at all.

  16. The response as to relate back and revert the topic into the alternating series of their lives. Damn that was a while ago and now you’re trying to recall the conversation long after the kiss good-bye. I think you try too hard as far as I’m concerned. This letter goes to all as a response to life.

  17. Hello.

    Um, excuse me?

Ma’am, could you look at me for a moment?

Behind her empty back I wonder what her expression is in front. Bleak? Annoyed? Is she rolling her eyes at me? Desperately I want her to just turn around and give me a cordial smile. A nice hello. A wave of the hand, even, but these hopes are in vain. She ignores me like she does every day. God.

I’m going home and killing myself.

  20. Respond, all of you. Wake up and think.
Percy Bysshe Shelly has something to say to everyone.

    Rise like Lions after slumber
    In unvanquishable number
Shake your chains to earth like dew
Which in sleep had fallen on you
Ye are many, they are few

I guess I kinda cheated this time ’cause this isn’t mine. Oh well, given a minute of pure thinking, only a fool would say they only think their own thoughts.

  21. People don’t do it enough. We talk but never listen, hope to leave messages on answering machines and never reach a real person. Headphones lodged into our ears so we’ll drown everything out. We’re so self-absorbed we only respond to ourselves.

  25. The thing we do least, but think about most. Always asking questions, rarely meaningful ones, but never taking the time to format the perfect manifestation of our thoughts on those of others. We rarely respond with any real meaning, just the rambling sidetracked thoughts of our minds… questioning even as we answer… Fitting.

  27. Respond to the world as the world responds to you.
That’s what I’ve always been told, but there are times one can’t do that. Like when a girl rejects you. Are you suppose to reject her back? I know the feelings suck, but should one be a good person and just leave. I don’t know.

  33. responding is vital to human nature. one human’s response to another is the feeling that we are connected to another person, the basis of our very lives. if one does not respond to another, it is generally taken as an offensive action, whereas if one responds, it is good in general. i very much like when others respond to me. as a cashier, it is one of the perks of my day. you shouldn’t take people’s responses for granted.
