  21. Repay means to do all we can do to honor god in attempt to repay him for giving his only begotten son to die for our sins. Repay, is a word that has great significance because knowing exactly what it means depicts to us that we have to realize that not everyone can repay us for the good deads we do for them. When we do deeds without repayment from others, never expecting them, we then are doing our part to repay God for all he as done for us… Although we will never be able to do that!

But Mark never asked Dan to repay him. “I’ll pay him when he asks for it,” he decided.

Until the day, he saw Mark passed out on the street. Dan called the ambulance and accompanied him to the hospital where he learned that Mark had been living on the street for a month.

Said the strumpet to the sheep.
There would be miles to go before we wake,

  30. The way you get repaid for your crime is invisible time/Served over and over/No words can absolve you/and no clocks count off the hours/until your life is yours again.
    You are never free
    Time has never been served
You are never to know what your life could have looked like
    Distinct from your errors
Had you looked at the constellations, not the horizon
The stars are also fixed, more or less
But how widely they spin and canterwheel
Distant from this ground that aspires to swallow.

  33. A Perspective

Voyage- makes most think of the sea
and a blissful journey of discovery
but for many that lost lives too soon
voyages like Mayflower out to sea
are the stuff of nightmares not dreams
and some Repay violence for peace

to know truth, one must look from views
from where others stand or another stood
and deny not, just because they’re new ( to you )

people off large boats from the sea,
starts of the most dreadful of stories
often for peoples native to their lands
the worst chapters in human history

to red shores, out the fog and ocean breeze,
pale face ghosts came and our land seized
you see, to others, the Pinta brought theft
and the Mayflower, was a bringer of death

it was the beginning of an evil end
a genocide of nations nearing 90%
and not undone are the negative effects

Would you celebrate an arrival’s memory
of the coming of thieves to your home
and murder of all your loved family?

Unfortunately, Ramona passed away in her sleep mere days after assisting the high schooler, having dealt with a terminal, yet closely guarded, illness for the last four years of her life. Avery attended her memorial, and she felt like a mere shadow among the other mourners. Her hands were cold and stiff while folded together, feeling as rigid as the preserved corpse in the coffin in front of her.
