  1. There were two people left in the place. It was truly horrible, the stench of rotting flesh as the flies and fleas feasted in the twilight of a grand history, such as Los Angeles’ had been. The plague struck quickly, and there was not much time to put things in order.

    by Daniel Helman on 07.13.2011

  3. the plague came and infected my mind, filling me with open solitude. i knew at this moment that i could not bare the weight of my burdens. constantly confusing my choices, the gratitude of his hands felt indecent as they swept the insides of my demolished body.

  4. in the bible it explains the plague of many deaths, whiping out thousands. Throughout history, plagues are a major threat to the environment and it’s life within. Plagues are a harmful event that has and will take place throughout the life of this planet.

  8. Disease. Death. Plague.

    by Tiffany on 07.13.2011
  9. It plagued me forever, the thought of my friend dying of her own accord. Her poker face was that of an expert, a professional. You would have never known she was suicidal if you were just talking to her normally, I would have never known if she hadn’t told me. Me, her best friend, unaware of her depressed state. It terrifies me to this day.

  10. It plagued me forever, the thought of my friend dying of her own accord. Her poker face was that of an expert, a professional. You would have never known she was suicidal if you were just talking to her normally, I would have never known if she hadn’t told me. Me, her best friend.

  11. The plague spread like wildfire throughout the community of young night elves. They weren’t exactly sure what it was, where it came from, or how to stop it. They were terrified. As the orcs continued to harass them daily and nightly, they began to realize they had a big part in spreading this vile disease. It was killing them off one by one, and they had no way to stop it.

  12. Houndsditch is always cold, even on the hottest summers day, walk along in your t-shirt and catch the chill and the the whiff of the plague pit, all deep buried, erased from sight, but not from the energy. I sat in Disraeli’s seat in Bevis Marks nearby and felt it a sanctuary, the very squareness of it’s proportions a bulwark against the darkness for all time and the great brass candelabra overhead burning defiantly through the troubled years, not flickering in the face of tragedy, hatred or loss. We are all in the ambit of some plague pit, we are all pursued by the forces of darkness, we can all persist, we can thrive despite.

  13. I am frightened. Frightened by the words and thoughts that glide around my head. A moment of silence, a moment of torture. Sometimes, even the noise isn’t enough to stop these thoughts plaguing my head. But what else do I deserve?

    I’m a coward.

A coward who deserves to be driven mad at the verge of insanity for running away from my problems. They’re here, I can almost touch them but I always fall short.

    And it’s killing me.

This half-life, I don’t think it’s worth it anymore. I’m the ghost of a shell, roaming my little spot of earth like a stranger inhabiting this vessel that is my body and mind.

The stench of the cigarette perturbs my senses, pouring from the screen of my living room window. The music is dead, and the silence is here.

    And the story continues.

  14. A verry bad thing, altho not verry bad. Because it helped reduce the overpopulated european continent. Can’t think of anything else……..intreresting project tho.

  15. When the plague hit, all was lost. The plague killed almost everybody and those it didn’t kill it turned into mindless “ravagers”. Luckily, there was a .004% at birth that you would have a natural immunity to the plague.

    by Josh on 07.13.2011
  16. i don’t think i exactly know what it means. oh my, bad sides of being a foreigner. because even though i was one of the best in english at school, they can never sit you down and say ‘now, kids, we will learn every single word you might find yourself in need to know in english!’. that’s how the cookie crumbles, i guess.

  17. This plague has killed us all. We are dead now, we have no way to go back. I would love to be able to tell you everything is going to be ok, but frankly, I’m not sure I want it to be ok… we are better now.

  18. A plague is a disease that spreads quickly. The black plague was huge in history because it killed many people. The black plague was transferred first through rats that got on to the ships. The black plague consisted of huge bulks of puffy sores that would pop and that would result in death.

    by Amanda Howard on 07.13.2011
  19. I’m plagued with the feeling of fear for the future. Like some kind of biblical Armageddon that we have brought down on ourselves. Oh yeah we’re causing this mass collision of time and evil, but we can stop it. I just wonder who will try.

  20. Eon burst through the door, still dripping from the oncoming thunderstorm that raged through the streets. It was violent and cold outside, but he would much rather be out there than in the cold, empty house that shivered in the wind. He cocked his head to the side, hearing coughing coming from a distant room. Mari…He sprinted through the door, not even bothering to throw off his cloak or shoes.

    by Muffins on 07.13.2011
  21. Eon ran down the street, covering his curly brown hair with a thin hand. Mari was sick. That was all he could think about in the descending darkness. His little sister had the plague. From what he had heard, it was a ghastly disease that killed all but the strongest. Somehow, he managed to doubt that she qualified as one of those- she was always the one who needed a shoulder to cry on, a hug. He needed to see her.

    by Muffins on 07.13.2011
  22. It kills. It will eat you alive. It will devour you into an endless abyss. Shutting you down and never letting you open up again. It puts an end to it all.

  23. You’re love, that’s what it was. I knew it was. I’m not stupid. You learned at a young age and your mother used it against you. I wasn’t aware and that scared me.
I keep replaying how I think our conversation will go once we have it.
Why can’t you just let me go?
She’s a great girlfriend and you’ve already treated her as badly as you treated me.

  24. The dark city streets still ran with rats as Eon made his way along the gutterline. He closed his nose against the ghastly smell emerging from it, that blanketed itself over everything these days. Disgusting. Absolutely disgusting. Ever since the plague set in, all people could think about was that blasted disease.

    by Muffins on 07.13.2011
  25. Something that bothers you and continues to nag at your soul. It ‘plagues’ me knowing that life isn’t as beautiful as I thought it would be. I just want to be happy. Happiness is supposedly as contagious as the plague I have also heard….so noun and verb I suppose..

    by jen on 07.13.2011
  26. it follows you into the dark places and won’t let up. it gets in your bloodstream and permeates all your parts and organs inside. insidious it is, spreading throughout you and everyone around you and everyone dies. inside, outside, plagued for all time. yuck.

    by oliver danni on 07.13.2011
  27. There are times in life where plague seems like a solution to the layering of routine, the removal of spontenaity and the assumption of habits. Plague would clean, cauterize and eradicate everything, forcing you to find ways to survive and change. There would be no going back adn afterwards, like after an illness, you would be stronger and braver. Plague would wipe out everything and leave room to start again.

  28. He coughed, and snifffed, then wiped his nosewith his sleeve.

  29. Unbelievably, one whole family managed to disappear and the whole town didn’t even bat an eye. They were to busy burying the bodies. Yet, I remained. Still alive and still with a sane mind, You see, the plague killed everyone it could get it’s dark coils around. Like my best friend. Like my family.

    by Emily Woods on 07.13.2011

  31. This vacancy on my skin haunts me. Not sure who can satisfy this lusting plague in my mind, only sure I want them to.

  32. so many times…plagues present themselves in different forms. they might come as a sickness, but many other times it is just being overwhelmed by something.

    by Grace on 07.13.2011
  33. I saw him laying on the concrete, hand outstretched, body craving for a fix, and I spat near his feet. Not on, but near, I couldn’t dare feed what was eating at his psyche. A conscience isn’t built for that; it’s built for regrowth.

  34. The bubonic plague was nothing, a simple bacterial infection that could have easily been cured if I were around.

That’s right, I could have stopped the damn thing. I have antibiotics in all my bodily fluids.

Okay, not really. I just know not to kill cats when there’s a fucking rodent outbreak in the cities.

  35. plague plague plague sounds like play with an angry sound at the end. it looks like a gross word that makes phlegm in your throat. and its not a good thing either, it’s hardship and hunger and sickness blablabla. plague. reminds me of the bible, but i’m not a big believer. lets hope none happen now!

    by Johannahoo on 07.13.2011
  36. Death cloaked the town in an unnatural cloud of despair and suffering. Silence was broken only by the moans of pain and coughs that rid the victim with pain so severe they only wished the end would come sooner.

  37. bubonic? that’s the first word i thought of and i don’t even really know what that is but it’s quite an interesting word. i think if that plague came to my city i would start laughing because of the name… oooooooh the bubonic plague!! haha it’s just funny.

    by Catey on 07.13.2011
  38. infectins are pretty weird. black plagues, diseases, and just many random sicknesses in general. shouldnt the doctors be curing people of sickness? where are the doctors? most families cant afford doctors so many people suffer from long time illneses and eventually their immune system kicks in and kicks ass. so either way, a ‘plague’ will be taken care of in the end. yup, thats and airbourne illnesses are pretty nasty too, especially coughs. i have one right now and it really sucks, i cant really think of what to type anymore. filler. filler. filler. filler. yupp.

  39. Desolation and darkness plagues the area to this day. It was ridiculous, the amount of time it took for a simple happy area to become this horrid place. How could anything possibly have happened to the loveliness of the land? It was the plague, of course. A plague in the minds of the people. In their bodies.
    In their hearts.
