  1. I don’t need to seek permission for anything. I am free to do whatever I wish. What do I wish to do, that’s the question? I don’t know the answer. When I have total freedom, I don’t know what to do with it. It becomes a slavery in itself. Freedom is slavery. Slavery to self.

  13. It was a sad thing, she realised, as she lounged in the cavernous living room, waiting for the gathered group to reach a decision.

It was a sad thing to know that she couldn’t even step out of the house without informing someone.

But what was even sadder than that, was the fact that she required their permission to do it.

Oh, yes, she understood that she was in a precarious position, especially given ehr

  14. I don’t know why I have to ask permission from you to do these things. It’s not like it’s rape or anything. I guess I just expect you to let me, and then when you turn around when I’m just getting into it and say no, I didn’t ask, well that just gets to me. You can’t really blame me for what happens next. I’m sorry.

  29. Too many people feel the need to ask for permission when it comes to speaking. The request is directed towards societal cues; often, the results are entirely amusing, simple, shallow and dishonest. If we asked less, cared less, then maybe that which we spoke would be worthwhile. That, or we’d all be driven to insanity, pushed by the hands of brutal reality.

  30. Permission to do what exactly? I always had to ask permission for everything because you always are seen as inferior in some aspect of life. First and foremost to your parents. This is an order which is never undone as far as I am concerned, they seem to think that because they came first they should mandate things, I promote rebellion, in this aspect.

  36. Sometimes because of pride its hard to ask for permission. But if we really want to keep confusion to a minimum , we should focus on the fact that more times than not the permission we seek will be granted. Though there may be stipulations in place, more than likely the boundary will keep you from more confusion and hurt.

  39. Permission to speak.

    No.

    Permission to think.

And all go downhill from there.

Because we’re not supposed to think. We’re not supposed to dream. Most importantly, we are not supposed to know that we’re living.
