  7. Pardon the expression, but I beg your pardon doesn’t mean anything anymore. It’s never used. There are still other pardons, from the warden, from a life sentence, alone, but begging for pardon just doesn’t happen.

  18. i feel like there is more than one meaning for the word “pardon,” but i couldn’t tell you. i will look it up after i write this though, for my own peace of mind. when people ask for your pardon, they usually ask you to excuse them for something. it could be for physical space,or something else that warrants an excuse.

  32. Pardon is about forgiving. From the simple, “pardon me” to pardoning a prisoner who has been set free. I myself struggling with pardoning. I want to pardon her, I want to forgiver her, but how do I do that without opening myself up to her abuse again? How do we truly pardon without fear? I want to learn. Pardoning is about grace, and I’ve never understood much about grace. I wish I did.
