  2. This occasion, our 45th anniversary, finds me running for an hour while Diane sleeps. The yins and yang of this is clear yet mysterious. She is puzzled by the trigger events leading to sunnden loss of memory. Sure, this is for just an hour or two, but troubling none the less.

    Living with someone for nearly half a century should give insight and understanding. Unfortunately these special gifts have not landed here on the farm where we live.

  4. Occasion sparks memory. If some event is significant enough for the human memory to deem it an “occasion”, then it inherently becomes memorable. For better or worse, occasions are always going to be remembered. They are the essence of significance.

  6. i had the occasion to slip into the car and drive for a long long time. it didn’t seem like i was getting anywhere though. and, in fact, a series of turns had left me quite lost so that i didn’t in fact know where the hell i was. and my cell phone was dead.

  8. on occasion i am happy. i haven’t been lately because of my job. i hate it so much. it’s ruining my summer. but i need the money for when i leave for college, so i have to work. occasionally i have a somewhat good time at work, but very, very rarely. i clean and paint. it sucks hardcore. i got cut down to 3 days a week though so that might help out a bit. lose money but oh well. gain time to live my life.

  9. On occasion I like to go outside and find a quiet place under a tree and read. Reading text books is not aloud. Just simply reading for my enjoyment and pleasure is the best kind of reading.

  13. occasion is something that you have to take because it could be something unique and marvellous or something dreadful, but then at least you won’t have any regrets after not taking it like it happens all the time. I think I shall look forward to doing it

  16. I’ve had many special occasions in my life. Occasions where there were birthdays, weddings, anniversaries and new humans coming into the world. Christmas was also a big special occasion at our house. We always had a big green real christmas tree.

  22. Something you need to prepare for. It’s often a celebration though which makes it less of an ordeal! Need to be on your best behaviour but it’s a chance to show people how much you care and hopefully spend time with people you love. Dressing up needed most times :-)

  26. on this occaion i happen to be writing about the word occasion. i don’t know what sort of occasion this could be considered, but if there’s anything to gleam from this sort of exercise it’s that the same word, which in this case is occassion runs through my head more oftent han it would on any other occasion. hahaha…occasions happen all the time buyt you never call them out because you don;t think they are occasions. you only look at them as events.

  27. there’s a time and place for everything. but it seems these days there isn’t a time and place for me. I feel lost in any and every occasion. Whether it be next to my best friend in the line at the movies or just laying here in bed. I feel like I don’t belong, that I shouldn’t be here. But maybe that’s just how I feel in this occasion, and the next. Maybe it’s just a phase.

  28. birthdays are the best you always come out smiling. i think occasion could always be something bad though. like an exam. it’s memorable but not always somehthing amazing. sometimes i wish they were all memoreable for the right reason. but they aren’t. that’s why people say “happy occasion” or sad occasion.

  29. I love occasions. They’re happy, usually, unless the “occasion” is a George W. Bush speech about how we’re doing so well in Iraq. Occasionally, occasions have cake, which is always a good thing. Especially if it includes dollops of Blue Bell Peaches and Homemade Vanilla ice cream. Birthdays and Christmas are my favorite occasions. I love that time of year because my birthday is right after Christmas, so it’s like a two-day celebration of presents.

  31. I like occasions. When I think of occasion, I think of a special event, something fun and exciting. Also, occasion are rare. I always think positively of anything I look back on that I deem an “occasion”. I have a pretty special occasion coming up, my 21st birthday..

  32. What an occassion! I love the occasion of Christmas! It is such a great ocasion in my family. Some occasions are not so wonderful, such as a doctor appt. where you receive bad news. On one occasion, I learned I had depression!
    Well then, what about the occasion last year when you lost your job? Its nice to go to a happy occasion, like a wedding. Sowhat is the purpose of this occasion??

  36. I simply wasn’t dressed up for the occasion. I always did despise my cousin, so why should I dress up for her wedding? I felt my mother’s cold stare on me, and kept my eyes forward, watching as my cousin and her poor lapdog exchanged vows. I simply wasn’t dressed for the occasion.
