the things that are new, the things that last, the things that are old.. they’re never really old, the old things that last, they’re called “timeless” as if somehow some things can step outside this moving place, this travelling tube, and say, “i here! i somethign outside, somethign special, somethingazing! i will never go away!”
most of us humans think we are like that.
think we will never go away, that our mark on this world, this universe will be permanent, and it is, for our scope, until the tome when the earth is grown over, the dust of the sun is settling onto pluto, the final non-planet to survive, and the next millenia of species is sparking into existence, farther away than the light of our sun can reach.

Modern life is never fully appreciated. We fly through the air and talk to our friends and family half a world away. No one seems to notice these things. We do notice when the flight attendant is not very nice, or if the wireless is down for a few hours. I still can’t decide though if we’d be happy without these technologies.
