  1. The two spent days, months and years thinking about the miles that separated them. As she watched her teardrops fall onto her lap she mourned her choice to move away from everyone she knew; everyone she called “friend’. She wished that she could rewind the hands of time, and go back miles, and miles to where her beloved lived.

  2. long far distances. Something that can keep love, friends and family apart..it is used to measure distance. you can’t see that far, USUALLY. It’s not easy to walk for everyone.

  3. She’s miles from me now. Just earlier she was pressed against me, her heart beating in tune with mine. Now she’s gone down a long, lonely highway. It’ll be days before I see her again. Hope she thinks of me as much as I do her.

  4. “You look at the thousands of miles in front of you, ignoring the millions that you’ve been through” -Cheri Magil, perfect in New York. I love that song. It reminds me of my best friend, who lives in NM while I live in UT :(

  6. i remember that robert frost poem, miles to go before i sleep.

it reminds me of you. it kind of hurts in that dull aching feeling where i can’t move.

but no, leave me alone, i have to keep going. i have to keep going. there’s more.

  7. For miles and miles around there is water, nothing but water, water and the dark. the dark is coming, the dark is coming across the water, towards me across the water, for miles around there is the endless dark and the infinite water. i don’t know where i am. i have been lost for so long. i don’t even know what it means anymore. all i can see is dark.

  9. Miles are a unit of measurement that are mainly used in describing large distances. They are very exciting, and I am not rambling. Honest. Anyway, miles. They are used worldwide, although many parts of Europe use kilometres instead.

  10. Miles can mean everything. They separate friends, loved ones, and family. They can damage relationships, but they can also repair them. Some would walk thousands of miles for those that they love.

  15. one day, my father and I decided to drive to P.E.I to visit family. The drive took three days. On the way there, our car broke down. Thankfully, there was a car repair shop nearby. We drove miles and miles to get there and when we finally did, we were very relieved. We had a very relaxing time by the beach and caught up with many family members that we don’t see often. This was my first trip to P.E.I and it was very fun, despite the fact that our car broke down during the long ride.

  16. i haave walked a million miles in my days of being a teenager . i dont have my license cause i am not old enough . i stinks being the only girl that cant frive when all the other younger kids get to learn how to drive from their parents. although i am young i deserve to role with the “big dogs” as some would say; no more walking miles for this girl . i keep thining that if im with older people then they will teach me how to drive, but that has failed. they all believe what the adults believe: im too young.

  17. I walked for miles and miles, screaming your name. You didn’t know what to say to me when you left. You just kind of shrugged and backed away. I stood in the alley way and gaped, trying to find the words in the oxygen around me. I couldn’t breathe with the smog in my mouth.

  18. There is no distance too far, love conquers all. Well fuck that, a 2 hour train ride is an annoyance but after a while, it can become too much. It’s boredom of the heart, annoyance of your mind. And it can’t be great after a while. Oh it’s only a few miles, surely your feelings should overcome that? No. We live in a realistic world, not a book nor a film. Romance isn’t that simple and one mile can make it become too much, too much for you to manage. Too much in cost, or effort. And that… That is the harsh reality.

  19. She didn’t feel like walking all these miles to her heart. Not even swimming. Did you ever swim a hundred miles and then still walked? Her heart was blocked by walls, and she walked around and around …

  20. MIles went down to the bar. It was his fifth time in the past two weeks. He looked to the bartender, a solemn look on his face, and simply said the words he’s grown so used to saying.

“Hit me, and keep ’em comin’.

    And still can’t find you
    I have walked miles
But have yet to feel pained
    I have wandered miles
And still don’t know what I’m looking for
    I have traveled miles
But my destination remains in clues

  22. I walked milse and miles and I still couldn’t find you. I tried to find you; I screamed your name but you never answered me. Papa says you ran away because you were sad, but I think because you were mad at us. What did we do to make you so angry you had to leave, Mama? I won’t be mean to Marcus anymore, I promise.

  30. Miles is a good friend of mine. I’ve known him for a very long time…back when he was a scrawny little country boy who played little league baseball and had a rat-tail haircut. Now he’s a model in New York City, but he’s still the same old sweet-hearted Miles. Just hotter…and without the rat-tail.

  31. Soldier boy, he was. Sharp. Focused. Willing to kill, down to his name. Perfect.

Until it came time for him to do something other than kill. Because when he started he was someone different, someone just _named_ soldier, but they made him a machine, made him an instrument of violence, took his name and gave him a number that meant the same damn thing.
