For some unknown reason, mercy is not a topic I like to think about. Yet it is such an integral part of my life. It’s a part of everyone’s lives. Mercy is what keeps our world going, along with love and hope and faith and so many other things. Mercy keeps us from despair. Mercy tells us that even though we are not perfect, we are loved and valued anyway. Mercy really should be acknowledged more.
God loves us. God loves me. His love is such that we can live forever with him in heaven despite our weaknesses and failures. If this is not mercy I do not know what is.
“Hey, how are you today?”
“Do we know each other?”
“Aren’t you Mercy?”
“Mercy? Is that even a name?”
“Isn’t it?”
“As far as I know, it isn’t.”
“Oh. But … do we know each other?”
“Lord, have mercy!”

Mercy is a type of letting free. Lets say you were playing tag with friends, and you say “give me mercy please”, you asking them to let you go.

I was begging for mercy. She was hurt and I would do anything for her. It was horrid she couldn’t walk or move. I called the ambulance
