  1. I used a lantern during the storm. It really helped me see in the darkness. Toward the end of the rain and thunder, my lantern began running our of kerosene. I was afraid that it wouldn’t last out the thunderstorm.

  4. Lanterns are beautiful, they light up the world even if there is just one, they’re more beautiful than many things that could take ages to make. Brighter than a million light bulbs, we should appreciate lanters more often.

  5. there are many lanterns in my garden. they shine bright. brighter than the moon even. the moon does not look much like a lantern but it is beautiful all the same. sometimes they come in different colours like blue or pink but they are always welcome in my garden.

  6. The lanterns dull light failed to illuminate the stone path as I made my way through the forest. The cold air biting at my fingers as they grasped its handle tighter. The moon above shone brightly. It’s luminosity putting the lantern to shame. But I was thankful for the comfort of having something to hold and distract myself.

  8. lanterns were the way to go. i mean, it’s a safe candle when you really think about it. candles have dripping wax and no protection…lanterns just have a burning hot piece of glass surrounding them

  10. All I could see coming towards me in the dark was a round blob of light. It moved along at about dog level. I wanted to run away. Then I saw that it was a lantern carried by an old man. He was attempting to light his way with it, but the light it gave was too dim.

  21. lanterns are used as a source of light in case the electricity is not there. they can be made of paper or cloth, depending upon individual preferences or budget or both! i love chinese lanterns personally. they not only give light but also throw light on culture and history.

  31. i lantern helps people see. i have one in my house i think. it’s red. or maybe it’s an oil lamp. oh well…still a lantern because of the shape i guess? we only use it when the power goes out, but it’s pretty trusty! lantern….hmm makes me think of the woods…and harry potter…and hagrid.
