  2. So I went down to the old mall where I used to as a kid. There was a guy, a guy with a familiar face who smiled gruffly at me. John? Joe? James! It was James, that same ol’ fellow who had been at this very store the first time I came in. He owned it all the way back then, I recall… that first day I bought the lucky keychain.

  3. I have a rubiks cube keychain… i love it and everyone is obsessed with it. My sister used to collect keychains. it was so tacky and she hung it from her classy looking pursepack( a backpack purse, they were cool back then… okay they never were that cool.)

I think one is the most you can get away with.

  4. Gold, glimmering, dancing on her hip. My Keychain meant something, Ghandi looked out from the face of it for (fucks) sake. She wore it well, I loved her. I believe in everything as though I must believe in it in order to exist myself.

  5. A chain to place keys upon. Designed to increase ease of access with things such as keys, or little trinkets or memorabilia, or carfobs. The point of keychains is to help keep objects organised without cluttering with purses, folders, or backpacks, and to display memories or other such obejcts without using up space

  6. I once gave a keychain to my father from a theme park in Missouri. The sad part was that it was from a trip with my high school band to St. Louis. My parents gave me $200 to spend, which I spent frivolously then only bought a keychain and a pen for them to keep to remember my selfishness.

  7. As she lay on the concrete no longer breathing, a keychain of her favourite cartoon character hanging from her bag had it’s left side coated in her blood. Waiting for someone to discover her friend.

  8. ‘Keychain’ is such a beautiful word. You would think there’d be Keychain Islands somewhere in the world. Are the Florida Keys a Keychain? Tasmania’s Long Island Group include a Key Island, but the Group is not a Keychain.

  9. Keychains are nice way to hold all the keys together. Mine has lots of other things as well like a cat toy, Disney sign, and some other extra decoration things like eggplant and pearls. I like it that way as its cute and fun to hold and nice to look it. It keeps all the keys together so I don’t lose any. It’s fun. I like looking at it.

  16. has keys on it its usually silver and i love them sometimes they are decorated with fun things and they are totally cool and funky. I used to love them as a child but I don’t have one now. SOmetimes people get them for people for birthday gifts. Particularly for 16th birthdays.

  17. I don’t really want to write about this word, chain of keys. That might be a better thing to write about. If I had a chain of keys I would probably not know much about what the keys original use was, but they would have unlocked a part of my imagination that would otherwise be locked and therefore have another use.

    by Peter on 02.27.2011
  18. Keys need to be held together. There is a chain in the community that keeps be beautiful life of the key together. Just like people. Unlocking the hearts of millions with one beautiful chain that keeps them all intertwined. They live together in harmony and make a beautiful sound that echoes all around them.

  22. Keychain keychain. Why? What is this one-a-day nonsense? Once there was a blue plastic round keychain with a button in the center. When you pushed the button “She’ll be coming around the mountain” would play. Just the first bit, not all of it. You know. It was cheap, but fun times. It did the job of holding keys and stayed in the purse.

  23. I remember the keychain everybody had in high school when they first got their cars. It had an angel on it, like a guardian. Also, one of my favorite keychains was an old hotel number plaque but it was too big so I never got it. When looking for a keychain I go with minimalist.

  24. A keychain is the opposite of a chaingang. Many businesses are built on the idea of a keychain. Everyone is suppod to be important andimportant for a specific task or talent. If one key is gone, it’s not the same

  25. Keychain is Mac’s password management software; it holds passwords, certificates, private keys, and secure notes. It’s neat that you can have separate passwords for all your different systems, and Keychain lets you open them all without having to remember them, just by remembering your Keychain password.

  26. I don’t have any keychains. I think that is because I don’t know where I would put them. I could put them on ym backpack. Keychains remind me of something of the sort that I used in middle school, when we had to do project adventure. Project adventure is when you have to climb up these obstabcle courses, and a rope is attached to a keychain-like object to keep you from dying if you fall (you wouldn’t smack

  27. She finds it lying in the on the expressway. She’s here with the cleanup crew, clearing up the brains and blood splatter that adorns the expressway after the pretty rich teenager smashed into the concrete division in her pretty corvette and pulverized her pretty fragile skull. The keychain belonged to her. It’s a flip flop with a beach in it.

  28. the keychain jingled by her side. you wouldn’t think mush of it at first glance, but that little piece of rusted out metal could kill you just as fast as save you.

  30. There is something so right about finding the perfect keychain to carry. I should conform to your hand, be small enough to carry but large enough to find. And when someone looks at that keychain it should tell them something about you!

  32. A collectible trinket. When I was in elementary school I had collected so many that they literally weighed down my backpack. Last summer, as a sign of friendship I a panda one from a friend (she’s Asian ;D) and a mickey mouse one from a friend who had been to Disneyland recently. 1.27.11

  33. My favorite keychain was given to me from my grandpa right before he died after he got back from Hawaii. I’ve kept it on my keyring for a long long time, but the tail and dorsal fin broke off. I feel it wrong to take it off, but i feel it just as wrong to keep a broken memorial.

  34. The best thing, a wonderful way to keep things together, sort of like families, an emulsification of things that would otherwise be alone, lonely, I wonder are they friendly? The keys? Or the other things on the keychain?

    by Jake Brasch on 02.27.2011
  35. it hangs from my backpack. i got it from a 50 cent machine the other night at my soccer banquet. we had pizza and awards at the local pizzeria. my keychain glitters a little if you hold it in the light. i think its a shell. or maybe a coin. its sort of non-descript, but it has no purpose, so thats fine. it’s just a keychain.

    by Courtney on 02.27.2011
  36. a trinket that many collect. I used to keep a whole bunch all bunched together that they literally weighed down my backpack! my friend brought me a mickey mouse one from disneyland, another of a panda (she’s Asian LOL) just to show her friendship. they’re fun to look at, and cute to hang off of things like yoru phone

  37. she fiddled with the keychain in her hands, considering her options. one, she could actually use the key he’d given her to this – goddamned huge what the hell – mansion of his, or, two, she could run like hell.

the old chipped silver heart dangling from the chain reminded her of another key that had once been there, reminded her that once, she’d chosen the first option – and to say that it hadn’t gone well would have been a disgusting understatement.

but could she run from that for the rest of her life? sure, she’d fallen head over heels with a man she couldn’t remember meeting, and she’d lost herself in him like the escape she shouldn’t have been weak enough to need, but –

but, really, she’d never had a choice, not since she’d picked up the phone all those months ago, his name (though she hadn’t known who it was at the time) flashing demandingly on the screen.

  40. Lost in the city, I looked around at the faces around me: Jim’s eye
s were falling out of his head, and Jill was less conscious than a rock. And I felt myself slip underneath both of them. When I woke up from the daze I saw things newer, and locked them together like a key chain.
