    by Patricia on 06.19.2012
  2. Keen is a word I may never really understand why anyone would want to write about. I always thought that the word keen should be part of a phrase instead of making it a stand alone word. Therefore i am not too keen on writing about it.

  3. As I saw them in my vicinity, chatting animatedly and giggling uncontrollably, I felt something stir inside of me. There was only one thing in my minds as I went up to them with my friend.
I had to get to the bottom of this.
I was so keen to figure out what was happening between the two of them that I didn’t even bother thinking about the consequences that my actions would cause.
So at that moment, I had no idea that I started a destructive chain of events.

  4. Keen. I remember going to NZ at the end of last year and I constantly heard the word ‘keen’. Keen this keen that. It was so commonly heard that it became part of my vocabulary. So if you ask me if I want to go somewhere, Instead of saying, YES I would love to. I would instead say ‘keen.’ I’m just a tad fancy

  5. He stood there, excitement rushing through his veins as his eyes fixated on that dark curtain. The suspense kept him on his toes, causing him to fidget as he heard the person speaking in front of him. It was almost time. The excitement pulsed once again and his breath caught. Then, the curtain raised and it was time. He sang.

  9. I was keen about everything. Not everything in general, but everything about James. His hair, his eyes, his smile, his build. His beautiful self was a-okay with me. In fact, the word “keen” doesn’t even begin to describe how I felt about the love of my life. Not only was I absolutely, utterly head over heels for him, but he reciprocated those feelings.

  10. I think each second is keen on being exactly where it is.
Moments don’t just bump into each other
    exclaiming angrily
    or falling over in astonishment.
    no, they walk in line
    one after the other
    until a line is made–
an array of army men all marching forth:
    in line,
    in step,
    in union with one another–
keen on being in that exact spot–
that exact template of time laid out by a great architect
    who is keen on time.
He is so keen, in fact,
    that he steps over it.

  13. keen? what is keen? in my opinion, keen is neutral. not mad, not sad. just, okay. okay with everything. keen is a good state of mind. it is never bad to be keen. I recommend being keen. keen is good for everything. if you aren’t keen, you won’t be good. too happy results in depression, later on. too depressed brings pain, keen is a way of life.

  18. Keen. It’s a strange word, but I like it – I guess you could say that I’m keen on the word keen in general. It’s an interesting term, and I’d like to start to use it more. I’m very, well, I already said this, but since I still have time, I’ll say it again: I’m very keen on it. I mean, really – it’s an interesting word. I like the way it looks and sounds.

  19. it is quite peculiar how keen i seem to be these days on happing across him. he is rather uninteresting in many of the ideal ways of men, but my keenness suggests a sense stating rather bluntly he is to be handled with greater care.

  25. pam didn’t know what made her want this so much. maybe it had something to do with how her mother used to give her this look of distainful disappointment whenever she made a mistake. maybe it had something to do with how her father never seemed to look at her when she told him she couldn’t do something.

  28. I wasn’t too keen on this whole thing to begin with. I had always been skeptical but this challenged any hurdle I had faced prior to walking out the door in front of me and facing the people I would now call my family. The dress felt too tight and suddenly I couldn’t breathe.

  31. He was keen for her, that was for sure. The way her eyes glimmered in the scattered moon light could bring him back farther than he had ever expected. It was a strange sensation, he felt. 37. Somewhere between improbable and unjust lies an idea that at first glance seems utterly simplistic, even idiotic, in it’s vehicle for change. These ideas are the million dollar notions of intelligence and virtue, those which make you utterly in contempt of yourself for not being the one to see such an evident and glaring beacon of ingenuity for what it is, a happenstance of creativity. Such an occurrence is similar to quantum activity, more based on probability that of something corporeal or tangible. Yet there are those that try and try, and because of those stubborn personalities there are those that achieve what most can only dream of, actually beating the odds so incredibly stacked against you, and making you, the receiver, better or worse because of it.

  38. Never before in his life had Angelo encountered someone so insanely intelligent, someone so above everyone else in terms of perception, that they had to indulge in activities such as this. The drugs, the adrenaline.

    It was mental.

    He was in.

  39. She was all too keen on the idea of tomorrow, at least in a figurative sense. Despite past failings and mistakes, tomorrow promised change and the potential for more.

  40. She was never too keen on the situation. It always seemed like such a bad idea, even though it felt so right… yet everything got so messy when all of the lies and secrets came out. Why couldn’t things be as simple as they seemed when they were together? it was so fucked up but so right.
