  1. I honed the blade of the knife, ignoring the slight burn in my shoulders from the long process. It had to be perfect, absolutely perfect. Smooth, sharp, and deadly. I’d been at it for nearly ten minutes now and always it seemed like something was wrong with the edge.

I stared across the way at the sacrifice I’d be using it on — my first. It needed to be perfect and quick.

  2. Bunny was keen. The big ears that his dreamer gave him collected thoughts from the vast ocean of bubbles. Chiffon was jealous of him sometimes; he himself had nothing to look forward to in the evenings, when he slept without remembering. It’s all temporary, he reminded himself. When Bunny’s dreamer grew up – it wouldn’t be something gradual, just something sudden – Bunny might wake up with no ears at all.

  3. I am keen to know you, were the first words she ever said to me. I thought it was so odd that she used the word keen. It was so fifty’s, so old-fashioned. Nevertheless, we were soon friends. She wouldn’t let us be anything else. I wonder now, given all that has happened, if she planned it that way.

  5. We whisper into the dark; all our little hopes and wishes. We’re ready.

We’re here – waiting for the world to happen – we say.

  6. “You’re awful keen, aren’t you?” She said coyly and she pushed him away. Since she watched him ingest so many drinks she sort of knew why he was so eager- but something still told her that there was more to this than just a bit of alcohol.

“Ah c’mon will ye?” he said, getting slightly annoyed; he wouldn’t be getting so pissed off if it weren’t for him being actually pissed in the first place.

  7. my dreams were uneventful. I floated on a peachy keen cloud of nothing. I never like to wonder what actually happened that I can’t remember in my dreams. It’s like drifting into a time suck and waking up to dragging my heavy head out of bed to the pot of black gold.

  8. Not particularly keen on being immobilized all summer, in a plastic boot cast and knee brace, watching endless hours of “Say Yes to the Dress”, trapped on the futon in my living room.

  9. i just feel a keen desire to hug you. that is all. and .. it is enough

  10. And really, what had he been thinking in the first place? Throwing yourself at someone was hardly the way to get them to like you, let alone trust you. It was a ridiculous idea in the first place and, regrettably, he was only seeing this now.

  11. I am not too keen on doing this again. This was yesterday’s word and it seems a little boring having to do the same one again. Not even sure what to write or if what I have written so far makes any sense.

  12. I dont know what keen is. I seriously dont. I will find out the meaning or the use in sentences or words for sure. I dont mind to spend time looking for words in dictionary and other reference books!

  13. bright eyes and angular jaw. where did the dirt come from? not here but most other places. that’s why I asked. That’s why you wondered. Where the lamp?

  14. On the bus today there was a guy cleaning his teeth with dentalfloss. Does that show he is keen to keep his appearance up to date, or just shows he overslept and didn’t want to miss the bus. Another odd behaviour on late night buses is young women put on makeup using the window reflection as a glass. Watching them put on eyeliner and mascara is absorbing. It has the same fascination as watching car races, knowing the driver is an expert, but waiting for the crashes.

  15. Keen as in eager it’s always a good thing, just not too much or else you will go overboard. Love to be keen, keen to write keen to be proud and keen to succeed but like I said you’ll fall on your head if you’re too keen to do something or it might not just happen if ya know what I mean. Disappointment comes in threes so for one keen there is always three disappointments. Confindence and acceptance is the key for sure expect nothing and youll be happy either way

  16. I have a keen idea that today is going to be one of those passion filled, peanut butter and jelly sandwhich days. I have a keen sense of awareness that life is just not fair. How many ways can a person really use the word keen, makes you wonder, doesn’t it? This is the type of exercise that really gets your brain working.

  24. I had been keen to try to out many things in my life and started working on a new domain at a level of 2.5 years of experience. 28. Keen is a word that always reminds me of the first time I ever heard it. I didn’t know what it meant. It reminded me of spleen, to be honest. I think I may have even gotten it mistaken with kin, as in family. I’m not to keen on kin.

  40. I wasn’t keen on him. Not one bit. He had a strange look to him. It was pathetic. I didn’t think it would take me long to catch him off guard. I just had to wait. Waiting is the best part. It makes the kill that much sweeter. I will wait. I wait again. I must.
