  11. I no longer use an iron. I bought a portable steamer and prefer that over the iron that left a burn mark on my forearm when I was 11 years old.

  27. Flat ironing her hair with a plancha. I can remember looking up to her, even when she did ridiculous things like that. She was pretty and older and I wanted to be just like her. Then we grew up and pretty only lasted her so long. Once you realize there is more than just being pretty, it’s too late to develop anything else… like a personality. I wonder if she still uses that plancha.

  31. I hate to iron clothes. It is something my mother tried to teach me to do and I just hated it and I still hate it. My husband irons his own shirts. I buy clothes that don’t need ironing. In the 21st century we shouldn’t need to iron things!

  37. Iron makes me think of ironic. This term has been a bone of contention in my life for some time because I’m still not exactly sure what it means. My husband is an English teacher and each time he hears the Alanis Morissette song, he gets so upset because apparently none of it is actually ironic.
