  2. Beat my heart around with a stick, it’s hanging from a tree. You tied it up with ribbon and left it on the front porch, but not before.
    I let you cross me, casually, allowed my heart some room to edge out slowly. When we came up for air my heart pounded on the door, begging to be set free.
    After that you were an echo, a bodiless voice, set to fling about my head. That’s what you did after all, you brought my head into the matter.
    So even after you burdened my heart, you littered my head with madness. The thoughts of I am incomplete or I am wrong, mistaken, unable to properly love.

  35. why the hell is brie making me write about a heartbeat?
    although I guess it makes sense considering that for the most part, she is IN FACT my heartbeat… so, for all intensive purposes it makes sense. but at the end of the day, this is still a bull shit excercise.
    I say this of course, but really in all actuallity I guess this is an interesting excersise.

  36. One of my favorite sounds. I get lost in a tranquil place when I can rest my head upon someone’s chest and hear the rhythmic drumming of their heart. It reminds me that everyone, no matter who they are, does in fact have a heart.
